Even if it were wrong, general relativity holds for so many things that it would still serve us well. But it has once again been proven right. The only place where general relativity appears to break down is at the subatomic level, and that isn't even certain yet.

The gravity probe B spacecraft was an awesome piece of engineering, and shows what scientists and engineers can do when they really put their mind to it (and are adequately funded). For instance, the spherical quartz gyroscopes were out of round by only about 40 atoms!
