LearnNavi.org would be fine for me. Shall I create a group?

Edit: I will contact one of the admins because of use of name, logos, etc.
I vote for LearnNavi.org

okay, I've written a PM to Payoang and asked for permission. I would take care of creating the group and some other stuff like writing a tutorial for those who don't know how to set up f@h clients correctly, if you don't mind (and if we gain permission ^^).

An interesting application that manages the F@H cores in an easy way, and it have a gaming mode, which will terminate selected cores when you start a game (haven't tried this yet), which would be very useful if you're running GPU cores.

Yes it takes a while. On my GPU (at my own home) one WU needs about 2:30 to complete. My crappy servers need almost 2 days o0
I wish I could use one of our university's HPC nodes :(

my PS3 takes about 7 or 8 hours, it does a minimum of 12,5% an hour.

In the beginning it was like.... 1/30000

I was like, wtf..... but it goes pretty fast

Yes, mine needs 6-8 hours, depending on the project and I will gain 251 points (as you do, too).

I tried folding on the high performance cluster today (one node only) with maximum packet size and SMP (multiprocessor support, 16 CPUs). 1% takes about 20 minutes to complete but I've read somewhere you can gain gain over 50k points for those packets :o
However, I can't use those machines for folding because I would block out all other applications :(

On my PS3, I had clocked it, it took 4 minutes and about 30 second to get 1%. But the timer that says when its done, likes to change all the time, so it isn't accurate.

Yes, I know this behaviour ;)
But it's a good estimation anyway

Running on my HD 5870 and Phenom II X4, Estimated PPD is 3362 (3176 for GPU and 186 för CPU). Only problem is that I can't have this machine running 24/7..

Fahmon tells me that the SMP client produces 946824.76 Points per Day. I doubt it..

AFAIK FahMon has some issues, especially with SMP. Did you try HFM.Net?

thanks! I missed it. At 199x I was like: "omg! YOu have to watch for it" and then the next time I had a look at my post counter it said "2001" ;D

I'm almost on half way, 960/2000... it really take long time to finish it ^^

yes, there must be a lot of teams with less than 7 completed WUs :o

As I said, it's largely dependant on how you use the client and which client you use. I have several comps running which don't do anything else except of folding proteins. If you have a more recent graphics card (Nvidia Geforce 8x00 or higher / ATI Radeon HD2xxx or higher) you could use this for folding@home. For example, my Geforce GTX470 I normally use, completes a whole packet in less than 3 hours.
