Okay, some of us had the idea to create a LN.org folding@home group (see my previous thread here). I've already written a PM to Payoang and asked for permission to use the name etc. but I am also interested in how many people would like to contribute to such a folding@home group. So here is a little poll to get some numbers ;)

Edit: Use 198857 as the team number to join the official LN.org f@h team! The link also includes some additional information about Folding@home so please have a look!

Human No More

As I said, I don't fold much, but I don't have a group at the moment.

you're welcome. As soon as I have the permission I will publish a team ID.

Okay, I have created the team (team id 198857). I will create a tutorial on how to set up f@h etc. to make it easier to join for people who are not familiar with f@h. Maybe this tutorial should become sticky or be moved to another category? Who do I need to contact for this?

I'll join the group when I go to sleep, so it can fold over night, I'll join via my PS3

I see you started a topic in general projects, and that one seems to cover all the important stuff. Maybe just link to that one from here or something? Or did you want this (and your other f@h topic) moved there too?

Also, it's nice to see that people care about this :)

Niwantaw

I might rig up my main comp and leave it contributing whenever I'm not using it. It should help but I'll have to work out how to set it up and also see if my internet will hold up as it is more than a little unstable.
Only mostly AWOL.

It's not very difficult to set it up and not very demanding in terms of Internet connection (download a packet, upload the result. In general less than 5 MB size/packet). I recommend having a look at the different client installation guides. If you have any questions feel free to ask
