It's a forced test, and it is useful when used as more of a guide for exploration.  I think of personalities as a collection of loosely knit characteristics which tend to change over time.  Some of these changes are predictable, and some not so.  There is the case of a Croatian teen who woke up from a coma speaking perfect German, having completely forgotten Croatian.  If that kind of thing can happen, then it seems personality characteristics can be functionally changed in a twinkling.

You see Na'vi si, sì, tì-, nì-, fì-, te and ne and immediately begin thinking of the cognitive functions (an aspect of MBTI that draws me to it (another one is temperament)) Si, Ti, Ni, Fi, Te and Ne :P

TBH it's been a little 2-way ::)

Tse, looking back, I'm a little surprised at the number of ENTJs here.

Anyway, I stumbled upon this yesterday, and noticed James Cameron there.  I thought JC would almost certainly be an ENTJ instead of an INTJ, but both seem to fit well :)

I have also been thinking: could Karyu Pawl be an ENTJ?

I just tried that one...gave me ESTJ instead of my original ISTJ.

Makes me wonder...

I was INFJ.

I don't think I understand the difference between Sensing and Intuitive; they seem very similar to me. ???

sensing means you rely on things you can directly sense (see, smell, touch, hear, taste) to make your decisions, intuitive means you make logic-leaps and don't have to always go off direct concrete evidence.

does that help?

Yes, thank you. :)  Actually, both types seem to fit me fairly well.  I'm definitely an I?FJ, I think.

Interesting test.  I haven't yet seen an MBTI test that allows you to pick an "in between" option.

Be aware that the two types are very different from one another.  For instance, if you are nostalgic and conventional, you are most likely ISFJ.  Otherwise you may be an INFJ.  Of course there's no reason you couldn't be an extremely rare IXFJ (so-called X-typifications are relatively rare among all types) :)
