Interesting. By using lasers to scatter scatter light by bouncing them off virtual particles, and measuring this random "static," the information can be used to create random numbers.

On a side note, occasionally (depending on the energy of the laser), I hypothesize that occasionally particles will be knocked out of pair and become "real" (as in, directly measurable). After this experiment is run for a while, it might be worthwhile to attempt to measure if any real particles can be detected. Also, if the decay of any real particles might correlate to expected dark matter collisions in space (as I theorized before).
