Did anybody else catch this? (fun activities at meetup)
« on: June 20, 2011, 03:26:45 pm »
I caught this little item on the newsletter thread. I have seen no mention of this elsewhere. But these kinds of activities sound like a whole lot of fun!

Quote from: Patricia Costa Kim (EMP/SF Museum, Education Director)
We are planning ancillary education activities before and after the panel such as: button making (Na’vi words and names), face painting (Na’vi inspired designs), drumming circles, drawing yourself as a Na’vi caricature.

Yawey ngahu!

These things will be going on before and after the panel.

Patricia was my original contact at the Museum back at the first of the year.

When she saw the news of the panel, she e-mailed me.

I think the activities are available to general attendees (= ALL attendees at the EMP that day). I'm not aware that there will be any specific charges, but I'm certainly not sure about that.

Oh, we should translate some more songs and teach them to people doing the facepainting and stuff! Songs are an easy way to rope people in. MWAHAHAHAHAHA THEY'LL ALL BE SPEAKING NA'VI BEFORE THEY KNOW IT
