Why would you ever want to debate with friends? What you need is another debater! (I lettered in competitive debate) I'll debate you in Na`vi, and it will not have to deal with the Sea Shepherd folks, either!

I was going to say I would debate you until I was blue in the face, but next year I hope to be blue in the face, anyway  ::)

And balancing an ikran on your shoulder all day is more fun than a person ought to have a right to have. I did this for four days until I forced myself to quit doing it....

Awesome Blog, Txonä Rolyu.  Shame I didn't get to sign your poster thing.  Next time you'll have to make sure I get to it.  And the restaurant is Buca Di Beppo.  HRH  I can see I may have to pay for a hotel next year.  I missed too much.  Maybe.  Or alternatively just get there earlier and leave later.  HRH.  May be more cost efficient.  (Free hotel is a mighty big difference in pricing, especially for a poor college student like me.)  I'd love to be able to actually understand the language by the next meetup.
Judy - how did I miss your ankle?  What happened?  When did it happen?
I have to agree that it was wonderful to meet everyone.  It was just a great experience to be able to put faces to names that I've seen online.  The exhibit, though small, was very well done.  I was thrilled to go through it.  But it was more fun to to through with the rest of the group.  I think I would have had less fun without the group.
The BBQ was amazing.  It was totally awesome to meet Karyu Pawl.  And a big Thank You to Keyl for hosting it (I know I already said that, but I had to say it again.)
I know I missed a few people when I was thanking everyone before.
Txonä thanks for taking the time to get with the museum and get the group tickets taken care of.
Zef - thank you for all your work.  I know the next meetup will be great just because you're involved with it.
Hmmmm ... I know I'll think of other people I need to thank later (yet again).  I'm still tired.  It's hell being over 40!
But you know I felt about 20 years younger when I was asked for ID at dinner just to get a Lemoncello.  That just got me.  I was laughing so much over it I almost dropped my ID.  The poor waitress was like "Oh, well Ok." when I showed it to her.  I think she was embarrassed.  I was just too flattered for words!
More later I guess.

@Maria: I had hurt my ankle in March, and it's still bothering me, but I was walking around anyway haha. Candace wrapped it for me with an ace bandage to give more support =)

I was very happy to meet everyone! The museum mingling and family dinner were super fun. I was especially honored to be instrumental in getting everybody to sing in a round!! I liked all the questions, and K.Pawl's patience and thoughtfulness in answering them all. Big thank-yous to all who made it happen... K.Pawl, Prrton the amazing, the museum staff and exhibit curator, TxonäJason for doing tickets and for hosting some of us for a night... and for the small group that I had the pleasure of travelling with: Kay for driving and 'Evan for answering all my questions about eve-online. haha!

I didn't get to record as many people as I wanted to for mightyverse.com, but we had so much packed into the weekend. At least we got http://www.mightyverse.com/speakers/239-raymond-cole and a few more phrases from mightyverse veteran http://www.mightyverse.com/speakers/222-omngum-frauti up so far!

Alas, I'm not a very good photographer and for some stupid reason I didn't take any pictures at the BBQ or the clan meal and so now I'm really kicking myself.   I forgot to initially switch my camera back from the no-flash/interior settings the exhibit required so a lot of my Blue Lounge pics came out blurry.  Oh well!  I've got them uploaded and they can be found here.

I had a really good time at the meetup!  The BBQ at Keyl's house was a lot of fun, as were all the activities on Saturday.  The panel was awesome!  I didn't do too much on Sunday... walked back to the Peace Garden and shared my morning pastry with some very cheeky sparrows then walked down to the Pike Place Market and to the Olympic Sculpture Park. So I mostly just walked around. It was very peaceful and relaxing, and the weather was fantastic.

Returning to the heat and humidity of Central Illinois was a bit of a bummer. My drive back from Chicago went well although it was past midnight by the time I walked in my door, so it made for a very long day.  Then it was back to work and now the meetup just seems like a really good dream.  :)  But it was fun while it lasted and I'm so glad I was able to come.

Thanks so much to Keyl and his family for opening up their house to a bunch of strangers; it was a really nice icebreaker.  Thanks to Karyu Pawl for showing up and being so accessible.  Thanks to Prrton for his awesome organizing skills.  Thanks to Txonä and Zefanaya and everyone else that helped put this together.   And finally, thanks to everybody who came and made this such an excellent weekend.   It was so wonderful meeting all of you!

You're not kidding.  I feel I'm always playing catch up even though I'm 5 to 8 hours ahead!  ;D

@ Txonä - I've seen you video block - excellent.  Hey and putting posters on the ceiling - you know what, I kinda like it!  You lot being together must have been a great way to 'cool' down from the meet up.  Txantsan!

Must have been hard for those who had to go home alone...until they got on line again.  We maybe separated by many miles, but we are not far away from each other really.

Lisa -

Saw the pics.  They came out better than mine.  My stupid camera is not made for not using a flash.  I really need a new camera before next year.  It won't happen, but it would be nice.  Maybe I'll bring the real camera next year instead of the digital.  That would help.  Good film can make quite a difference when you're taking pictures.

I'm going to PM you.  I need to ask you something.

Looks like I missed out on a neat event. I have kinda been away awhile. I guess that's why I call myself Ní'awtu... I only live like 20 minutes from the EMP and I have yet to go to the Avatar exhibit. I remember reading about it in the paper a long time ago and I got all excited and planned on going as soon as it opened, but I did not want to go alone and all the people I know frown upon my love of Pandora.  ???  I will have to drive out there and see it for myself sometime soon
