Sunday activities
« on: June 22, 2011, 04:54:12 pm »
This thread is an attempt to get a discussion going on what people will do on Sunday. This was inspired by the 'Friday' thread already started. A list of activities were presented in the planning thread (via a now-defunct SurveyMonkey survey) a while back, and this is the time to start talking about implementing this plan.

As I see it, I kind of doubt that everyone is going to want to do something as a large group (with 40+ of us now planning to attend). Instead, I suspect that there will be several smaller groups going out to see/do various things, based on each person's interests. So, I suspect that people will propose ideas here for what they want to do, and attract people with similar interests. Nevertheless, if people want to do something as a single large group, that is OK, too.

Of course, activities do not have to be limited to what was originally suggested. Along those lines, I am going to suggest a new possibility: The Boeing Museum of Flight. I am planning to visit there Friday, but could be persuaded to do this Sunday instead if there is interest.

Otherwise, I am planning to visit the Woodland Park Zoo, and perhaps the Aquarium on Sunday. And for now, I will be 'championing' that itinerary.

I'd suggest the zoo and aquarium. Museums are tough for large groups, because some people move through them quickly and others more slowly.
