I must watch out for those single syllable verbs, I thought it had to do with tense.

Imagine saying I see you to another guy but mispronouncing it making it be: And I like it.  ;D

Personally I think the sounds are the hardest to master, the actors were sometimes practicing a couple of lines two weeks prior a scene.
