First is George Bernard Shaw.  The second I THINK is my own, but it was awhile ago.  I'm sure there are many similar though.

Pelun, exactly?
Why, exactly, should you see that thread?  Because it's a list of cheesy inspiration phrases I came up with in IRC last night, which is what I thought this thread was about...

Ah, sorry, the link was frelled; didn't like the exclamation point.  Try here

"Aynga kemì Kansas set. Aynga mì Pandora, smuke ulte smukan." - Colonel Quaritch
You probably want to get some verbs in there.....

I am above verbs. They are beneath me. I choose to use them or to throw them out into the street, drunk.

But I might put some in. Or someone else can idk.

But you use 'em so pretty!  I'd go with:

san "Aynga ke tok Kansas set. Aynga tok Pandora, ma smuk" sìk.

I moved the s to the end, since it should cause lenition, but we dunno how that works with borrowed words.

*hiss* Alright pxasik. Who cares if I'm wrong. I'm posting "Tìtxur mì txe'lan sì ronsem lu sngä'i fya'o tìrey." :P

Okay, so, remember that mì causes lenition. I've also added a second "mì;" I have no justification for this, except that languages where things like adpositions are closely bound to their noun, you can't usually have one extend it's meaning to two.  Ne is included here for "to life."  Also, note that "start" in English is a noun, so we need a noun in Na'vi, and a genitive to hook it up with path.  I'd go with:

san "Tìtxur mì te'lan sì ronsem lu sngä'ikrr fya'o ne tìrey" sìk.

Hrm... I still don't completely like that, but not sure why....

Whoa, dude, patience.  You've had the original posted for less than an hour....

Mako

Haha, irayo ma tsmukan. (I was trying to coax that out of someone :P)

So ne is the preposition/adposition "to"? And I got you on the nouns. I can handle vocab and pronunciation, but the grammar is still killing me :P

I moved the s to the end, since it should cause lenition, but we dunno how that works with borrowed words.

But we do have the actual Na'vi word for Pandora -- Eywa'eveng -- and the known loans are all molded to Na'vi phonotactics, so "Kansas" should become Kansasì (as per ìnglìsì and Markusì), and if you really want to bring "Pandora" over as well, that could be Pantora.

Ah!  I think I don't like it cause there are really two propositions in there, so we should probably have two clauses.  We don't know if "start" is transitive or intransitive, but it does look like at least some transitive verbs can be used intransitively.  So, assuming "sngä'i" can be intransitive, better would be, I think:

Tìtxur mì te'lan sì mì ronsem tok a krr, sngä'i fya'o ne tìrey" sìk.
Lit., "When strength is in heart and mind, the road to like begins."

I like that Chris. I really could learn a lot from you. Do you teach linguistics?

Right, but what I meant was, does "in Kansas" appear as "mì Kansasì" or "mì Hansasì."  Thus, shoved it to the end :)
