Hehe, this thread is awesome!

My contribution:

tìpxayä sìkin to sìkin tìholä fu 'awpeyä lu swok.

Thanks to tìkawngä mungeyu, Ftiafpi and omängum fra'uti for helping me out with this one last week :)

And if anyone has a good Na'vi word for idea/plan/thought, there's another quote I'd love to translate.

edit: Modified since we now have a known comparative.

Ok, I'm going to try to revive this, but Family Force 5 has some good lines, one of them being from their song How In The World, so here's my shot at it:

"Txo ngati lamu lok oel set, oel ke tslam kempe oel sivì, fyape ne kifkey, oel tsame'a oeyä txe'lan ne ngati."

Bah, too bad this thread is so inactive, I really like it.

Maybe one of the more wtf-y film endings can salvage it?

I suggest you gloss the phrases a bit in the spoilers to make them sticky worthy, and workable for checking the grammar.

This suggestion is so good that I couldn't even think of anything else but to comply forthwith ;)

Pelun oel ìyomum futa pol ftxivey oet?

Pol tspìyang ngat.

Txantsan!

Wow, Omängum made a mistake? Pelun means why, but you meant pefya = how.

I like a quote I saw in someone's sig:
"Fi'u lu keye'ung." - "Keye'ung? Fitsenge. Lu. SPAAATAAA!"

And from my sig:
"Ayoe lu aysamsiyu a plltxe 'Ni!'" (Monty Python)
Ayoe lu aysamsiyu a plltxe "Ni" !
Aytìhawnu ayli'uyä aswok: "Ni", "Peng", si "Niiiew-wom" !

kewnya txamew'itan

Almost right mithcoriel.

In the this is sparta quote, it should probably be fìkem at first because the diplomat is referring to them not surrendering. Also, you might want a srak after keye'ung.

Also, in the second you want a san before the ni. This effectively opens the quote marks around ni, the closing speech mark is implied by the fact that you stop speaking.

I've made far more than that.  Especially my posts back in December, and less so in January like that one.  I had a few ideas wrong back then, and wasn't shy about professing it's how its done anyway.

Anyway, to a new quote...

Oe fpìl, tafral lu.

I think this is the perfect situation to throw in a pak, hopefully it fits. :) ?

As for the Sänumeyu's sentence, doesnt "ulte" fit better than "sì" here?
