True. I still like to listen to some old stuff from the time before that change happened.

The computers at school when I was in kindergarden:

I remeber those too. I even had a computer running DOS where I had to enter "park" command before powering off so the hard disk head was parked safely.

This is what I had on the first computer I ever owned. This OS is known for being buggy and unstable but I have never had problems with it, even in VMware.

I was 1 year old when XP came out so the very first OS ''in'' my life was probably Win 95. The first home cpu I probably used had nice VISUAL THEME (including the sound, like the Incredibles and jungle). It died 8 years ago, so we got it replaced with Windows Vista (7 wasn't even out lol) and that computer died too. I think I even had Vista on my 2010 laptop (which died a year or two ago). My stepfather's CPU had also XP until it died in 2012, then I got this computer running on 8 (upgraded to 8.1). At school, from grade 1 to 7th (secondary 1) they had XP until they upgraded to 7.

First OS used for me was Windows 98 SE on my grandmother's computer. They bought me one for my birthday and it had Windows ME. Again, ME is known for constant bugs, blue screens, and other issues. It never gave me problems. A great OS that needed a little work. Without it, we would not have Windows Media Player, Windows Movie Maker, System Restore, and other Windows features.

How is it different from Windows 2000?

Not much different. Win2000 was directed at the office/business user and WinME was directed at the home/casual user.

I'm on VMware. Site won't work on the default IE, you have to have Opera (what I use in old OS's) or Netscape.

I mainly use VMware for nostalgia and to test viruses and see them work their magic.

Them toy videogames

I remember I had the soccer and the monkey toys.

Also these toys from the Simpson movies. I greatly remember the Flander's toy saying in French: There's always room for another Flanders.

I remember the NHL hockey cards you could get from McDonald's in Canada:

I also miss the old McDonald's style, before this crappy modernity.

I miss the days when you played, not paid to unlock secrets in video games. When DLC was free. When the only thing you had to buy was the game itself.
