I'll be pulling for the Saints, though I really don't care about either team.

Championship game for American Football (NFL).

I like Payton Manning. I really think he's at least the 2nd greatest NFL player ever. But I like NO's overall team better than I like just one player.

a superbowl is a huge bowl in which cereal is poured once a year and thousands of people feast from it.

Btw, i'll be pulling for the saints

Lol! Nice. Go Saints!

I really see no reason they should lose. While the #'s defensively aren't impressive, I still think they have the better of the 2 defences. And if Sharper doesn't get a pick, I'll be shocked. I'm also a pretty big Shocky fan (I was really disapointed when he didn't play in 07's Super Bowl) so I really want to see him play and win.

Here in California (which I would assume is geographically neutral given that both Indianapolis and New Orleans are over 2000 miles to the east), an overwhelming majority of people I talk to are rooting for the Saints. However, in nearly every case, they then qualify that with something along the lines of "It's not that I don't like the Colts/Manning, I just want to see the Saints win their first one." I'd have to say that at least 3/4 of the people I've talked to have that exact opinion about the game.

Personally, I'm rather close to that myself. I'm a Green Bay Packers fan, and since they're not in it (and none of their main rivals are either), I'm pretty indifferent toward the outcome of the game.

Yeah, this is pretty much everybodies opinion who's not a Saints or a Colts fan. Though the reason here in NE that people want the Saints is because they HATE the Colts.

Ok, I may be a Colts fan, but I will say this: this is going to be a "good" game.  Peyton may have experience, but at the beginning of this season, Drew Brees was listed as the #1 top pick for QB in Fantasy Football.  Peyton was third.  and as far as overall team makeup, both teams are even on both their offensive and defensive strengths.

It's going to be a fight to the last minute for the Lombardi for BOTH teams.  And in the end, even I am conflicted as to who I truly want to win, because the Saints winning their first would help in a LOT of ways, especially as a moral uplifter after Katrina.  However, Colts have been and always will be my team, and we already have one.

Since my cardinals are out I don't really care who wins but I am throwing a party because I'm the only one who has a decent tv. I plan to annoy people by rooting for the team that is against the general feeling in the house in na'vi. ;)

I would have to agree. I pretty much lost interest when Brett Favre lost, and even more so when SD did. I was deeply disappointed by the last game our Chargers (San Diego) appeared in. We just fell apart. Truly awesome quarterback--and ... nothing. Kind of like Brett Favre in the final two minutes against the Saints. I guess I will be rooting for the Saints, but only because I am a soft touch for New Orleans. I have been rooting for them all year to get to the SB, just so people would remember them for something other than Katrina, and they could build up their tourism again. But their team just doesn't inspire me. I like Peyton Manning, but then again where the hell is Indianapolis? That *is* in the US, right? California is kind of its own world. We have a lot going on here so we don't usually look too far east much, unless there is something bright and shiny, and the Midwest is generally kind of a blur sometimes. So I guess "Go Saints"? But I will be working on this stupid activity book while I watch the game, so it will be secondary at best.

Oh:

and as to Txonyä'ite's

That's exactly how I felt about this season. Brett Favre has always been my favorite player, so it was sad to see him go out, and being from San Diego, it's heartbreaking to see the Chargers fall just short again for the 14378947328194762138907th consecutive time.

It's rare that I find someone who is so like-minded regarding football; most of my friends think Brett Favre is a hack, but then again, they are ayskxawng after all.

This could be extremely funny. They all get mad at you because you're rooting against their team, but they don't even know what you're saying.      H I L A R I O U S .

Going off-topic for a few seconds...

Yeah, Indianapolis may not be very big, but there is a reason why it is called the "Crossroads of America."  Think about anything in stores that you buy east (or west, depending on your location to indianapolis) if Indy.  Chances are what you buy goes straight through Indianapolis.  IN addition, as a musician, Indianapolis has gained IMMENSE locational significance in recent years, with the relocation of DCI Headquarters to Indianapolis (as well as DCI World) and PASIC, to name a couple.

On-topic...

I type this, and I'm awake on the big day!

I won't be watching it, sports such as this seem way to repetitive and predictable for my liking.

There is actually a LOT more depth to Football than other such sports. Unlike most sports, the coaches can actually have a HUGE impact on the out come. It really is full contact chess.

At least it's better than NASCAR.  This is about what it amounts to:

^that is hilarious.
A note on cheering in na'vi, I am still a begginer so most of what I have learned will probably not work so I plan to just be a little random. Any suggestions would be appreciated. As of now the most relevant thing I'm going to do is translate "ride that ikran" for long plays ;)

by the thanks to kaltì and itan, it's so nice to feel appreciated :D

grumble grumble...I just dragged myself out of bed after 5 hours of sleep. I stayed up working on that stupid activity book until 4am. Woke up with the (unofficial*) San Diego Chargers fight song in my head. Changed the lyrics to "Toruk Makto!" I blame sleep deprivation. If I can come up with a good macho fight song (I mean we can't always go around sing Row row row your boat, and Old Mc Donald) for Toruk Makto I will upload the lyrics. A read convention drinking song.

:) Go Toruk Makto!

(* Our "official" 'football fight song' is a horrible 1970's sounding disco song about football. No wonder we always lose!)
