The main chamber was next, there were many shipping crates dotted around, they provided useful cover as they made their way.
In the center was a large cage, it had thick bars made of something Hiccup didn't recognize, at the front was a group of men, all looking troubled. Something inside the cage was snarling bloodthirstily at them. Something that was chained down firmly.
There was one dressed very differently to the others, his suit was elegant, the others had a low rent off-the-peg, ill fitting look about them.
There was conversation between them, but it was drowned out by the raging creature.
"Well, gentlemen ..... [something inaudible] ..... middle of London in less than two hours and I am not about to be late for it." said the smartly dressed man, as he split from the huddle and made his way to some elevator door, closely followed by his gaggle of hangers on.
"Daddy's got to go to London and meet his friend Mike, but I'll be back tonight. Just wait till I tell Michael Wales about you, sure he may have a palace or two, and a title, but I have a dragon, and boy are you beautiful when your angry!"
The creature snarled even more venomously.
The lift door closed, and the beast went quiet, it drooped noticeably.
Hiccup raced over to the cage door, and worked the lock with something from his pocket.
The creature seemed to revive, the change was absolute
"I'll get the lock, I have all the necessary ..... " began Matt, he stopped as the lock clicked and the door opened a fraction.
Hiccup slipped inside and began working on the muzzle.
The lift doors opened again, the snarl returned instantly, and 'daddy' stepped out.
"Silly daddy left his ..... " 'daddy' stopped, in shock and horror. Two madmen were attempting to steal his dragon!
"NO!!! IT'LL TEAR YOU TO PIECES!!!" he yelled in warning.
Hiccup dropped the muzzle to the floor and went to work on a shackle around one ankle.
"You'll kill us all!" he pleaded.
"You'll kill us all." he wailed, backing himself in terror into a corner.
"my dragon, it'll kill us all." he whispered, cowering.
The unchained dragon stepped from it's cage, free, enraged, snarling furiously. Deadly. A force of nature unleashed, unstoppable, pure evil incarnate, a living powerhouse of vengeful fury, malevolent violence and sharply focused hate.
