When one is tired, it is possible to sleep during the movie AVATAR.

As punishment, you have to get coffee, and go to another showing.

The ANIME, I like, and I want to take my kid sister to the theatrical version to watch it when it comes out.

I know about the show. I am watching it now but I was wondering about the movie, is it a real play movie or a cartoon movie?

ShadowMainZERO

It is a live action movie directed by M. Night Shamalon(sp). The creators of the cartoon are a part of the righting staff and it is going to cover the first season.

Not exactly...

In short, a Korean company animated it for the American production company in the style of Japanese MANGA illustration, based on mixes of Indian and Chinese mythology and cultural concepts.

Depends on which definition of Anime you are using, the one I used earlier in the thread, would apply to the the show.

::)  ;D  ::)  ;D  ;)  :)  :)  :)

In point of fact, Anime is a tiny bit of a misnomer in some of its uses today. In its older forms, which was originally applied by the Japanese as a truncation of the word Animation, all kinds of it.  English speakers have adopted this Anime name for the animation style; this is used to refer to a style of animation that is derived from Manga 漫画, a style of story focused illustration that dates back to the 19th century at least.  アニメ is always written in Katakana, which clearly shows the word to be borrowed (wiki article says french, English speaking fans say otherwise, Japanese say 外人 so there).  Additionally, Disney animated features were originally called anime by the Japanese prior to the development of the modern studios based in Japan and Korea.  Furthermore, as a style, it is all outsourced now anyhow unless you are looking at companies like Studio Ghibli where they animate all of their their local releases locally.

The style for TLAB was interspersedly called ANIME by the creators of Avatar the last Airbender, and the creators were fairly clear about the desired animation style at least.  So they outsourced the animation to a MANGA studio that does that style of ANIME(TION), based in Korea.

  They supposedly (experience wise) work heavily in Japanese shows and features, but I can not for the life of me find details anywhere.

"The show drew on elements from East Asian (especially Chinese and Japanese) culture, blending the styles of anime and US domestic cartoons."

M. Knight has been hit or miss depending on which films you liked or did not like.  His characterisations tend to be one of the best in film these days, even if his McGuffins fall a bit flat at times.
