I just bought the domain http://skxawng.lu/, mostly to be able to have the [email protected] email :)

Does anyone have any proposals of what I can put on the actual site? ;D

btw, the site wont work until the changes are applied to all DNS servers, which takes up to 48 hours. The time it takes depends on your ISP and location.

edit: Corrected typo, and no. I didn't buy the failspelled domain ;)

Eyamsiyu

Only thing I can think of is another failblog, except maybe with specific things that make a Na'vi think WTF.

Or, should a band call themselves "Ayskxawng," you could sell it to them, or just run the site for them, for a fee. ;)

On indefinite leave.  Will be back periodically. Feel free to say Kaltxí: I'll get back when I can. :D

DNS update already took affect here. :)

As for content...like Eyamsiyu said, maybe a Na'vi or Avatar related Failblog?

If not, maybe a small email service? It'd make for some interesting email addresses...just don't tell the users what the domain and TLD actually mean :D

I don't know about a Na'vi failblog, it seems to be a lot fo maintenance involved..

But I have worked a bit and have the core mail system working now! What's left is fine tuning and then a system to automatically create new mail accounts.

Whatever you do, make sure all the actual content is at nga.skxawng.lu with a redirect on skxawng.lu, pesu.skxawng.lu and tupe.skxawng.lu. :D

Payoang came up with an interesting suggestion over the chat, a chan (like 4chan, but with more content control).

Swoka Ikran

And that suggestion is what exactly?

Or do I just need to check the domain often and wait until something that's not a parked domain page appears?

A chan is a kind of forum, but more based around uploading images and other users commenting those images. Instead a regular forum where you click on the thread you want to read, all threads are always expanded.

I have not yet decided what to put on it. Another idea I had is a clone of http://istheshit.net/ (they see to have some problems atm), but with .... skxawng lu! captions instead.

I've not yet decided what I'll put on it, but when I do so, I'll post it here ;)

A na'vi imageboard. Could be interesting. Definitely need content control though (or else very heavy moderation) judging by practically all the *chans out there.

Yeah, I know. I will not let that derail in the same way that most of the other chans have. It will probably be all heavy moderation.

After reading that post, I found myself googling "define:4chan"...for some odd reason I've never bothered to look into what it was before. Now I know, and want no part of it.

Also, seeing there's at least 3 ideas here...why not offer all of them, see how it plays out, and bin the ones that don't catch on after a few months. Then again...I don't know how much bandwidth you have.

Oh, and if it becomes an email service, I want [email protected] :D

Mail service is a definite yes!

In other terms, I think that I will go with an imageboard. If you have seen 4chan, yes, that's probably the darkest place on the internet. I will never let this get anywhere near where 4chan are, so you do not need to worry about that ;)

TODO:
- Get my new Storage disk array online.
- Create a custom imageboard.
- Create a mail registration site.
- Register Google AdSense (Profit!!!)

I want [email protected] if this becomes an email system.

And as for 4chan, don't go there, but they can impress sometimes with their awesome trolling. We have a 4chan-er too and maybe one day he'll be trolling nìNa'vi.

Difficult to choose... what about [email protected] ? But that's spelled mean wrong :P

The email system does not support the ä, try using only oeysa_nok or something, -y is a casual version of yä. (i think...)

And even if ä and ì were supported, I wouldn't use them. Anyone in the USA (and any other countries that use standard QWERTY keyboards) would need to be taught an ALT-code, or how to use character map.
