My friend pandora-ized his room
« on: January 13, 2010, 12:08:35 pm »
No pics unfortunately and I haven't seen it first hand so I don't know if he actually did it but apparently he painted all of his walls so that it looks like it stretches on for miles, he painted his furniture as if tree roots were growing over them, he even painted his ceiling so that when you look up you see tree tops and the sky. He wants to add glow in the dark paint and have a real tree in his room and fake pandorian plants. Although I don't know if this is true, it certainly sounds cool.

About the glow in the dark stuff, black lights with neon fluorescent paint would be AMAZING!

It would be really awesome if he'd let tree grows over his ceiling and walls and floor. But that's dangerous since they can affect the state of your walls and (maybe, after some years or 30/40) cause 'em to crack and collapse. (Just feeling a bit down, sorry). If it's possible for me, then I would cover all walls with a protective layer, then let plant grow on the walls, put a small fundamental thing and let a plant grow over it causing it to make a bed. Just wondering if there'll be bugs..

Still, It'll take up over two years to complete.. but when I'm able to do that, I might consider doing it. :P
Even though the way your friend did it, is way easier :P

Well, they do. I mean, overday they produce O2 but at night they take O2 so you'll have less. Well, it was quite fun until I realizd it could never be true. I mean, after all, they won't glow up.

OMG I'm actually in the process of Pandorizing my room as well! Glow in the dark paint and all! This is so cool...

That is an awesome idea! I want to see some pictures!

And for the bioluminescence, just use UV reflective paint and turn on a couple black-lights!
