Fun Fact: In WW2, Aviators in the Pacific feared being shot down and eaten by cannibal natives. Boxes of Spam were traded to Pacific Islanders by the US military in the hopes that the taste would be preferable to the taste of human meat. After trying the Spam, it was declared to be "very similar" in taste and a welcome replacement. They accepted regular deliveries of Spam and in return promised to return aviators unharmed.

Now... were the natives pulling their leg, and simply lining up a steady supply of free chow for themselves by telling the US commanders what they wanted to hear? Or does the taste of Spam truly approximate the taste of people-chops? Those who claim to know assure us that people taste like "rare pork" and people are referred to as "long pig" by those who so indulge. Something to think about.

There is a new commercial on T.V. advertising SPAM and how good it seems to taste with eggs... Personally, I'm not going to even try SPAM in my lifespan...
