I have learned today that:  It's good to take a moment, find someplace secluded and quiet, confined and with solitude. Sit down and close your eyes. And listen to your mind.

Actually pay attention to your thoughts.
Yesterday night I learned that doing so can result in you having trouble falling asleep  ;D

TIL that some people need to wear bright orange clothing as a warning for others:

(The 'permanent file' is an electronic dossier with sections in a numbered checklist.)

Someone: "I can't store documents in the permanent file"

I: Which checklist number in that file is giving you problems?

Someone: "The permanent file."

I: *head desk* x 10

HRH! You aren't supposed to do it when you go to bed!! I would actually advise against doing it while lying down. :)  You risk it becoming a habit, so when you go bed you'll think non stop.
But I know what you mean, I did it for the longest time. My brain would not shut off and I couldn't fall asleep!  ;D

Actually I was trying to do lucid dreaming and usually that's the way you do it. The disadvantage is that it takes you a LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONNNNNNNNNGGGGGGGGGGG time to fall asleep and even after that you sleep really lightly. Bad for having to get up early each day because of university ^^

TIL exactly how short-lived the feeling of being worth anything and having something of value to say can be.

I must learn to choose my words with more thought and consideration.

What I learned today, is more inner and personal.

I adore and admire the things our mother nature does. Only recently have I noticed that I stand outside in a thunderstorm, I stand outside during Tornadoes, I like to witness natures power.
There is no fear, no worry or fright from me. I actually love these things, and it wouldn't bother me if these feats of nature took my life.

Strange, I learned something new about myself.
I embrace Natures dark side. The side of nature that takes life, rather than giving it.

Today I learnt that sitting at work but not having to do any work is interesting. It speeds up my stories, but it feels wrong.

That making a platform/plank bridge....

Well... This in the backyard:

...with my dad is going to take longer then I thought... Since he is not that eager about building it then I am... When I want to start building something, I want to make a plan, get the supplies and that working. My dad likes the wait a few days first, then consider getting supplies and a few days later start building.

Today I learned that just when you think you've hit rock bottom, the floor can give way introducing you to whole new layers of awfulness below.

 :(

Oh well, things will improve in time. Hopefully.
