I learnt that if you have sprained your finger very badly playing rugby and it's all swollen, DO NOT forget about it pick up a heavy bag with that finger. It will certainly make you remember!

I learned something similar: If you hurt your knee of the first play of a football game (and notice that it's already swelled quite a bit) do NOT keep playing because it doesn't hurt that much...

That bananas are radioactive and if you eat one banana per minute 24/7 in a whole year you will be exposed to the maximum allowed radiation dose for a radiation worker.

Could it be because the food is radiated for safety reasons first?

The source of the radiation is a natural compound that is in all of that. The amount of radiation you are exposed to is 0.1µSv. The background radiation a normal person is exposed to per year is ~3.5 mSv, which after a little calculations is ~0.3 µSv per hour.

Yes, you will probably get cancer if you eat 5 million bananas in a shot enough span... But that is a lot of bananas!

also, the source that probably is what spawned the comic: http://xkcd.com/radiation/

That tea + sugar = ftxìlor  :D
Today, I learned that drinking tea before a run is so good!!!!     ;D    It was worth it, although It was really hot today, and I know now why I run bare foot.       Halfway through my run, I felt that I was being weighed down by my Asics (Running Shoes)  So, I had taken them off.  It felt so good!!!    I forgot how it felt like to run barefoot.

Man, I miss the feeling of walking barefoot on grass... or sand... or soil.. or gravel.. I'd go along with lava for that matter, I need summer...

Anyway, I learned that I don't own a can opener... Fail

Well, if you ever want to have a new place to live, come to Florida.  Year round sun, and during the fall/ spring months we get these crazy rainy days, its not all that bad, but need to always watch our for hurricane season.    I love Florida, I do miss the mountains of Colorado though.   :(   Anyhow, I hope you visit Florida if you can, you'll love the weather, and the Beach!!!   I usually run barefoot on the beach on my off days during PT.   So much fun, and the beach does something for my head, like its peacefulness is contagious!  :D
