archaic

Actually I did know that, that's why I put it in inverted commas, tok is as close as I could get to the sound of the word dog, without violating Na'vi rules.
Pasha, an Avatar story, my most recent fanfic, Avatar related, now complete.

The Dragon Affair my last fanfic, non Avatar related.

From Na'vi in a Nutshell:

QuoteLanguage Note #1.1: f, h, ts, s, v, z can only be at the beginning of a syllable. So a word like yuf is not possible.

Language Note #1.2: Only f, ts, and s can appear with other consonants. So words like fmetok to test and sngel garbage are allowed, whereas a word starting with "pr" or ending with "mp" would be forbidden.

Language Note #1.3: Only the following consonants may end a syllable: px, tx, kx, p, t, k, ', m, n, ng, r, and l.

So neither "faks" nor "foks" is technically allowable.  Sorry.  You'd have to add a vowel to the end of that, too, in order to make the "s" the start of a new syllable.  How do you feel about "fakse"?

I feel fine with fakse and I am here to learn the rules.  ;)

Most would probably agree upon foksì.

foksì is good.

With fakse I was trying to avoid the word looking like it could equally be "sì fok", but I'm willing to go with the majority ruling on this. :)

then we can say fokse[/b.
except, we already have such confusing words that seem like they have affixes (säfpìl, zerok etc...).

Good point.  Loanwords ending on s probably should end with e rather than ì.
