It is very sad that I must agree.

when I am older, and I have saved up money.
I intend to invite as many people as possible and do a very big event.
probably not as big as avatarmeet.
but I wish to show the community (anyone who is interested) all the national forest near me, and the rainfalls and such. it is beautiful.

one day.

If I'm ever rich, I will send an invite to all the actives on LN and all the classic actives too, to have a huge event, I'll pay all the flights to the USA and everything.

I'll likely never be that rich though. :(

I suppose we could do real world activities like beading, bow making, Na'vi-ish cooking, and share our results, difficulties, and achievements. ???  It would be like Pinterest, a bit, but we could support each other in these endeavors. :-\

I've... :-[ ... made a few bracelets and things, mostly from stone or glass beads.

I hope the links work.  And, yes, I know the photos are somewhat out of focus.  Sorry. :-X

I tried to create a bow.

But I failed horribly... :(

Probably since the beginning of the forum you can share with the others the results and the feedback of these real life activities. However, I agree that it's been quiet in that domain since a 1-2 years, therefore we could motivate ourselves.

I was searching cultural activities we could do on the forum without having to do something offline, but it looks like it's not doable for now. Of course, we could roleplay and organize ceremonies, but after a couple of weeks or months it will become boring. We need more information about the culture.

If you look back through the threads, I think you will see that a number of culturish projects were attempted here, and at this point, I think are are inactive. The ultimate was the 'real-life Na'vi tribe', something I know from studying history, was doomed from the start. But a good idea noetheless, and there are certainly ideas along this theme that would work.

At the end of the day though, I think the biggest limitation is time. Even with the language aspects, there is so much more I could do if things like work, chores, paying the bills, animal care, eating, sleeping ;) etc. didn't get in the way.

From what others have said, I guess my work at the zoo counts for part of this :)

I agree. The only reason I was not at AvatarMeet this year is because I had other things planned that I couldn't change (like going to Europe and stufff). And with the real life Na'vi tribe, I think it was abandoned because people just didn't have the time or money, and it never worked out.

The Na'vi tribe was abandonned because it requires a lot of skills and money.

Yeah, and not everyone has the skills to live off the land, and not everyone is filthy stinking rich.
