Exceptions, ma smuk! :)

Poltxe pol ngar fayluta oe new kivä.
She said to you (these words that) she wanted to go.

There are very, very rare verbs that can be transitive or intransitive.
and who said that? Paul said that many, if not all transitive verbs can used also intransitively (oe taron X oel taron yerikit), so in reality there is many many verbs which can be used both way :)
The dictionary says this:
Quote
Most, if not all transitive verbs can be used intransitively in the absence of a direct object.

However some verbs just wouldn't make sense without an direct object, like tungzup; it must at least be implied.

Also, regarding so’ha, Paul has said this:
Quote from: Word of God
Note that in Na’vi, being enthusiastic is transitive.

I interpret this as meaning so’ha is always transitive; you need something to be excited about.

Unless explicitly stated as otherwise (like so’ha), I assume transitive verbs can be used intransitively if it semantically makes sense.

I think what Pawl said here, and the note in the dictionary don't necessarily jive:

Nga new sivo'ha - You can be excited.

Or, simply:

Oe so'ha - I am excited.

These are antipassive uses of this word. So even though Pawl says this, or any other verb is transitive, that doesn't mean that a sensible, intransitive use is not possible. All it means is the verb is not intransitive. An intransitive verb can never be used transitively. IMHO, that note in the dictionary should be removed, as it is inconsistent with what Pawl actually said.

Yawey ngahu!

this is probably best definition - result must give sense.
