Kaltxì ma frapo,

oeru lu tìpawm. ***

I would like to write a sentence like "I'm going to eat food" or something in this way.
The thing is, I have no idea how to write the part "going to" (or "will") in na'vi.
How would you translate the setence?

thank you for reading^^

There are two kinds of future.

The first one is the simple future. In English, we use the modal verb ''will'' to mark it. In Na'vi, we use the infix <ay>.
Your sentence with the simple future: Oel yayom syevet / Oel syuvet yayom / Syuvet oel yayom / Syuvet yayom oel ...

The second one is the close future. In English, we use the locution ''going to'' to mark it. In Na'vi, we use the infix <ìy>.
Your sentence with the close future: Oel yìyom syuvet / Oel syuvet yìyom / Syuvet oel yìyom / Syuvet yìyom oel ...

Since you write ''going to'' in your English sentence, I would use the close future (-ìy-).

I eat would be oe yom in Na'vi.

Future tense uses the <ay> infix. So:
Oe yayom. I will eat.

But Na'vi gives you some flexibility here. You could also say it these ways:

If you want to emphasize that you WILL do it (instead of just explaining what's going to happen), you can use <asy>:
Oe yasyom. I will eat.

If you are going to eat soon (in a few moments/minutes/etc.), you can use <ìy>:
Oe yìyom. I am about to eat./I will eat soon.

Na'vi doesn't really have a way to say going to the way English does, AFAIK.

Does that help? :) I can explain more if you need.

We forgot to mention <ìsy>. It's the same thing as <asy>, but we use the close future instead of the simple future.

I believe in this case that asy/ìsy is closer to the desired meaning.
