Word order

(1/1)

'it a txep:
I know it doesn't really matter where you put what word in Na'vi, but couldn't the word order be used for emphasis? In some languages where word order is (more or less) meaningless, the word said first shows the emphasis.

Example: German

"Ich gebe dir das Geld nicht." - "I will not give you the money."
"Dir gebe ich das Geld nicht." - "I will not give that money to you."
"Das Geld gebe ich dir nicht." - "I will not give you the money (but perhaps something else)."
