CD-key problem for Avatar the Game

I have bought the special edition of Avatar the game. When I was finished with the Na'vi part i wanted to try out online. I was asked for the cd-key and I entered the cd-key I got from steam. The problem is that the cd-key is wrong. I have contacted steam, but no response. It worked for the activation of the game. I tried to google but no one had the problem. Does anyone have it or has a fix for it?
