kaltì, smukan.

I'm interested in building a Avatar stage on LBP.
It would be a non profit-fan based stage, accessible through PSN to all little big planet players.
In addition, all credits will be posted in the description of the stage. (details will be posted in the future)

The premise of the story revolves around the research of "first voice" and events prior to Avatar: The Game.
Before I go on writing the backstory, I would need your assistance in clearing off questions.
Feel free to comment/correct. I'm open to suggestions.

First of all, I'm not certain as to when the event will take place.
The game takes place roughly 2 years before the movie.
However, the "first voice," as mentioned in the game and the movie, happened generations ago.
In the game, the "first voice" brought the na'vis together in times of great sorrow.
In the movie, Neytiri mentioned about her great grandfather - torok makto- brining the people together.
Would it be bold, at this point, to assume that Neytiri's great grandfather was the "first voice?"
In addition, it is also unclear how long an average na'vi's could live. I'm finding it difficult to set a date at this moment.

Secondly, what does an unobtainium has to do with tree of voices?
According to the survival guide, unobtainium is a type of super conductor. To my understanding, it is valued by humans as an energy resource (perhaps better than nuclear power.) In this case, what does unobtainium have to do with sound waves (as suggested by the game) and how do the sound waves play part in communication with Eywa. Personally,
I'm not quite convinced how Ryder (the successor of "first voice") is able to crack down sound waves without the aid of instruments.

These are the questions I thought of so far.
I look forward to hear from you all.

Irayo, Eywa ngahu

Swok Txon

O.o sounds fun!

I will get onto some mates of mine who also have LBP

Addressing some issues from the top down:

First voice:
Could be referring to Toruk Makto. Neytiri says there have been 5 Toruk Makto since the Ancient Songs or First Songs. Her great grandfather was one of those Toruk Maktos, but may not have necessarily been the first. The First Songs are an event that must either refer to the creation of the Na'vi or when the Na'vi people first came together, many, many generations before Avatar's timeline.

Unobtanium:
There really is no connection between unobtanium and the Tree of Voices. Though some conjecture is that unobtanium deposits sit under the Tree of voices, the movie cancels that idea out. If there was unobtanium deposits, the RDA would start digging a huge hole at the site of the Tree of Voices, not blow up Hometree. The Tree of Souls (the bigger tree of voices where the battle takes place) is a different version of the ToV. The Tree of Souls does sit near or over unobtanium deposits, because it is situated among stone arch monoliths. According to the Activist Survival Guide, stone arches are formed from intense magnetic fields, associated with unobtanium deposits. So the Tree of Souls may be the actual tree being referenced here, not the Tree of Voices.
See that shadow? It's the last one you're gonna see.

Irayo Technowraith,

It is certainly more clear after reading your response.

Speaking of the Tree of Voice(ToS), I'm not quite sure what you mean by not blowing up the hometree. As I remember correctly, there appears to be a rich unobtanium deposit within 200 clicks (distance measurement?) around the hometree. The RDAs need to reallocate the Na'vis before they can start the mining operation. And that's the reason why they blow up the hometree. If unobtaniums are scarce and can only be found around the ToS, would that mean that the hometree of Omaticaya is close to the ToS? and a reason why RDAs cant mine at the ToS is due the magnetic interference with the instruments.

There's been some conjecture on other sites that unobtanium was located under the Tree of Voices, but who really knows other than James Cameron. In the original Project 880 script (the original concept script for Avatar) Hometree gets blown up not because of unobtanium, but to show the other clans that humans shouldn't be messed with. So they made an example out of the Omaticaya. For Avatar, they changed it to having an unobtanium deposit under Hometree.

And you're right about the Tree of Souls. It is located near Hometree. If you have the Activist Survival Guide, look through all the various pictures. In one you'll see a wide angle panorama of what appears to be Hometree, the Hallelujah mountains and the Stone Arch Monoliths (in the distance of course). But a rough judge of the view seems to tell me that it's relatively easy to get to the Tree of Souls within a day or so. We actually don't know how far it is physically. And don't know how long it would take for the Omaticaya to walk there. As I'm assuming the vast majority of the survivors walked.
See that shadow? It's the last one you're gonna see.
