I'm not saying that the Na'vi don't "tan" purple, but it would be highly unlikely for her inner thighs and calves to get so much more sun than the rest of her.  I think you're seeing the infamously hot purple riding "pants".  The color change in her legs confused me, too, at first.  I didn't immediately realize that was clothing.  But if I were going to squat over an ikran, I'd want chaps like those as well.
