boxofficemojo and the-numbers.com are still showing Titanic in the lead... and although I'm sure the lag in these numbers means that in real terms Avatar has already beaten Titanic, I'd like to have a reference I can quote if possible.

There's no doubt in my mind that Avatar beat Titanic this weekend. Just waiting to here from an official source. Once the word goes out, celebrate around your Hometree.  ;D
See that shadow? It's the last one you're gonna see.

Ah, yes. The lesser-known Bonsai Hometree. Quite popular in low square-footage areas, I've heard.

Here's to not knowing exactly what you're saying and having fun with it.

That it is. But i have a nicer Hometree 10 feet from the house, and in the backyard I have a tree of voices (complete with green led string lights). All i need is an ikran, a pa'li, a floating mountain and a stone arch and i'll have Pandora in the backyard!

And awesome news on IMDB announcing Avatar as #1!

I wonder where they get their data from - because boxofficemojo and the-numbers haven't been updated yet... (as of 18:45 EST)

I'm sure it won't be long before there's people on this forum who have spent 488 dollars on Avatar....  8)

The biggest movie ever made.

Nice ring to it.

Edit- I wonder which cheesy movie quote James will use when he gets his Oscar this time eh?
Something resembling 'i'm king of the world!' from Titanic.

14.50 x 4 = $87 (Imax 3D)
13.50 x 9 = $121.50 (Real 3D)
5.00 x 2 = $10 (2D matinee)
Total:    = $218.50  :o

TorukMakto!

Congrats!
I wish he'd say something in Na'vi at the Oscars! :)

Txonyä Maktoyu

I think "You are like babies, making noise, dont know what to do. This, THIS is our land" followed by "You will never be one of the people!" would go down pretty awesome at the awards! Hehe :P
