The latest info I can find is dated around the end of April, and all seem to say that 6 minutes will be added to the theatrical re-release.

August is only a month away!!!!   ;D

Here's a link to an article from the beginning of June (pretty recent, considering all the others were from April) that says Cameron confirmed once again they will be re-releasing Avatar in August with 6 minutes of additional footage:

I want to see it in IMAX too. Didn't get to the first time around...

It's got to be coming soon...was at Best Buy today (got to try an iPad, now I want one, and i'm not an Apple fan...), and there was a sign on the rack of Avatar BDs "Available While Supplies Last"

yea i seen it 4 times in IMAX it was AWSOME i loved it.. yea i know im dieing for it 2 come out again

Super pumped for this!  Have to wonder for certain what the extra 6 minutes are, but I guess in a month I'll find out!
