The US gets it on the 27th, so don't worry guys. I'm sure Fox just didn't mention the US because it said "for OTHER international dates", international implying OUTSIDE of the US.

...I'm still dumbstruck as to why Australia is getting it BEFORE everyone else... and taking timezones into account, we get it pretty much TWO DAYS ahead of the US.
Just to elaborate that: As I watch it on the 26th, at midnight most likely, it will still be early morning on the 25th for you guys.

Also, some just released information that Sam Worthington spilled on the re-release:

"I wish we added eight hours. I think the first cut I saw was about six hours long... There's a couple of extra hunting scenes. There's a much-speculated and blogged sex scene everyone keeps f--king harping on about. To be honest, I think everyone's going to be disappointed that's it's not blue porn... But there's a lot of other character parts. Giovanni [Ribisi] stuff and Stephen Lang stuff. So it's up to Jim. I know Jim would only release it if it enhanced the story by putting it back in."

He also allured to there being a lot of finished Earth scenes that Cameron simply didn't want:

"We shot all that. When we first saw all that, it didn't [work]. You just want to get to the planet. It's kind of a slow burn. Jim always wanted it to be a slow burn start so that you would adjust to your eyes and adjust the world, but it because too much of slow burn. It was like, "hurry the f--k up, man."

...and here's my own little compiled list of the "condensed" version of what Sam just said:

• Original cut of Avatar was ridiculously long. (Apparently 6 hours)
  
• More "hunting scenes". Most likely including the Dream Hunt, along with other minor hunts/scenes.
  
• The "much-speculated and blogged sex scene everyone keeps f--king harping on about". Although Sam thinks that it will be a let down to those hoping for Blue Porn. (If you want Blue Porn, Hustler has you covered... Google it... )
  
• Scenes between "other characters". (Including Selfridge and Quaritch) Most likely includes the scene where Quaritch threatens Selfridge and takes over the operation. Along with the scenes where the Na'vi invade Hell's Gate.
  
• Exactly what is included in the 8 minutes is entirely dictated by Cameron, finished or not.
  
• There were finished Earth scenes that are NOT in the 8 minutes, presumably meaning ALL the 8 minutes are on Pandora.

I got my finalized schedule the other day...I have 1 class, gym, on Thursdays, which means I can spend a lot of time doing homework that day.

I will have some friends of each gender that probably will come with me, and if not I'll happily go by myself.
