And im just as awestruck and in love with the movie and Neytiri.

The whole thing is so beautiful, and rewatching some of the more touching scenes nearly brought me to tears.

It goes to show, even simplified, how destructive we as a race are, it makes me doubt my own beliefs, and questions a way of living that, we cannot change.

What happens when as said in the movie, there is no green left on our planet. Where will we go, what will we do? The technology we need to search for those answers is a long way off, yet the effects of our destructive way are already showing themselfs.

This movie leaves me in a state of dispair. One I would like to fix by going to live with the Na'vi... whilst yes they might not exist, this is a dream, maybe, just maybe, one day it might come true.

Dark angel

We have our own Pandora here, and we have to protect it...That's what Cameron wanted to say with this movie. We cannot leave our homes and live in the jungle, because that is just impossible, but we can make an effort and at least try to protect our Mother as much as we can - recycle, use your car less, turn the lights off, save water...
But, I agree with you on everything you wrote...except that I'm in love with Jake.... ;D ;D

MOUNTAINBANSHEE

join our real life tribe! here(And yes, it will be a real tribe in the real world, not a role play tribe)

Since Neytiri is taken by Jake, we may need to find other members of the tribe to introduce us to Utral Aymokriyä in that oh so special way. =)

Listen to everything the native Na'vi say, develop an affinity for the pronunciation.

Listen to the humans for vocabulary.

The humans are deliberately allowed to be making mistakes according to some of Dr Frommer's interviews.  But words is words...  ;D

Many more of us that have this right, the better.

Not That I am certain that they do, but they are the first to speak it, so it may as well be considered closer than we are, at least most of us.

I just went to see the movie a second time earlier (got back 3 hours ago) and I absolutely adore it! It's the first movie I've seen twice at the cinemas, so that just goes to show how good it is.  ;D
And I agree about the destruction humans cause. I mean, you can see it on so many other movies, as well as on the news and I really do wish we'd be less destructive. The first thing I think when I see the humans destroying everything in the movie is "See how destructive we are"... and then I think "But these are soldiers, trained for this madness. What would happen if there were more people? If the common man had a say, what then?"
??? But, jeah... It's still a fantastic movie!  :D

I agree with that. First time around you don't know to look for the... antenna thingies all the creatures have. Afterwards, however, you know to look for it. And you also get a chance to notice costume and character designs. Like the braids that are usually in Neytiri's hair were loose during the sacred first visit to the sacred tree.

The first time the colors literally blew my face off, I was unable to keep track of the details.  The emotions, the action, it was a sensory bombardment I was ill equipped to process.  I felt like I want someplace truly alien.

The second viewing I noticed the amount of time Jake was spending with the clan, it was compressed but revealed with the calendar on his journal.  His hair growing out could have happened in a month for all I knew, it did not clue me in.  I still felt the raw emotion of the connection he gained from his time with them.

The third time I was checking out the curves on Neytiri, and watching the animals for their queues to see what critters may end up linking with the clan in sequels.  I was starting to imagine some cool side stories about life on Pandora, hoping for a long relationship with the universe of this move.

The Fourth time I had been on this learnnavi.org sight so much, I was able to listen to the dialogue from the Na'vi, and understand enough to watch the film without scanning the subtitles all the time. That really hit home for me more emotionally than ever before, especially when Neytiri was crying "ma sempul" after home tree was destroyed and she found her father dying.  I knew I was going to watch this movie again.

:o Wow! You've seen it so much!! That's awesome. I'm going to try and see it in 3D at the cinemas, maybe, and then I'll just wait for the DVD to come out. Because there's no way I'm not buying it!

Delta

I also saw the movie twice. The first time in 2D and the second in 3D. And it was GREAT. The first movie ever i wanted to see twice. I also played the Game on PC on Na'vi and RDA in two days. This is so awesome, i want to live on Pandora  ;D

I saw it for the second time also yesterday, and I agree that it really seems necessary to watch it more than once (though some may wait for the DVD of course) in order to really notice the details. The first viewing left me almost breathless in its pace and beauty. One thing that really struck me in the second viewing was the fantastic performances of the actors and how exquisitely detailed the motion capture process has become, especially when compared with another fine effort (for its time), that of Gollum in LOTR. I shudder to think of what the poor actors went through to deliver those performances, but I am glad they did. I particularly enjoyed Zoe's performance as Neytiri, I love the way she can convey her feelings so eloquently, such as that little hiss and stamp she did when her mother ordered her to teach Jake. That is the sort of acting that deserves to be recognised, and I am looking forward to seeing what Academy Awards this film might be nominated for.

Tanhì Tireafya'o

I've seen the movie in a total of 6 times  :o
And I've enjoyed it till the last second of the sixth viewing.
You notice so many things more the next time you're going.
(They were all 3D)

Son of The Eastern Sea Ikran Tribe

Pandora, is all our earth could have been

Txontaw

I've seen it twice, and the second time I started to notice some pretty small things like how the Na'vi wrap the string to their loincloth around their tail to hold it up :P.

The emotion it evokes is amazing. Like I said in one of my other posts, I was shivering with emotion and adrenaline for the last half of the movie both times.

It's always nice to remember that the universe is extremely vast and there are possibly and infinite amount of universes! Maybe in a few billion or maybe million years, the human race will come into contact with people like the Na'vi which is a really interesting thought for sure. My only regret is that I will not be around to see it.
