CNN Poll shows Avatar winning Best Picture and Best Director

Saw this poll and thought I would share. The best director race is really close but it looks like Avatar is running away with the people's choice for best picture! Over 200k votes so far.

Yeah, but the Academy Awards has never been about the people's choice, which is why their viewership has been going down. They should just split it up into two awards: The Picture People Actually Liked, which they could give to Avatar, and Best Pretentious Picture/Oscar Bait, which could go to The Hurt Locker. Everybody wins!

The Xbox Live poll has Avatar taking 39% of all the votes out of all 10 movies. Don't remember what 2nd place was, but it was FAR away (and it wasn't even CLOSE to being Hurt Locker). So if you go on popular vote alone, Avatar wins!!
