Is there anything you've been keeping to yourself?  Yeah, you've told everyone you know how much you LOVE the movie, but are you sharing all?  Anthing you can't say, because you don't think they'll get it?  Well, obviously, this would be the place to share it.  Here's mine:

I'm a 34-year-old heterosexual male.  I'm all into football, and stuff.  And I love the song, "I See You".  I'm not supposed to.  That's a song that, according to society anyway, is supposed to be for teenage girls.  Typically, I wouldn't be into a song like that.  But it always takes me back to the movie.  I sing it in my head (often), and I find myself on Pandora.  Obviously, it makes me think of the romance between Jake and Neytiri, and that is one of my favorite aspects of the movie.

My friends know I'm a total Avatard, but there's no way I could share this little tidbit, because I'd get constant crap for being sissy.  Anybody else feel like divulging something they might be embarrassed to admit in a different setting?

Tirea Pa'li

The song is not so bad, but its too girly yeah. "I`am getting all sensitive here. Might as well give you a big wet kiss". I like the rest of the OST very much.
Also i like Neytiri, or in general the Na`vi female form. So beautiful! But i`am not ashamed to say that. And i find that most of my friends also like em, in that way you know what i mean. They dont say it in front of the girlfriends/wifes but one  of the dudes that was next to me once leaned and said "Dude... she so hot!"
And then we got out the door, and looked at 2 female mastodonts stuffin BigMacs and super mega size cokes and we were both in one voice "Ma-a-n! Bliaahh"  :-X
From all the weapons you have used against us, we always feared your guns least!

I'm generally pretty open about things that I like or do.  This has the benefit that I don't have to second guess what I say around friends but also the downside that it tends to limit the amount/type of friends you can make.

However, in general I don't talk about my fantasies especially ones relating to body modification. Such as:

I am intersted in eye tattoos, providing it was confirmed safe enough.
I am interested in ear pinching (cat/elf ear-tip style).
I would sign up for experiemental testing of prostethic tail/wing systems.

Also, there's nothing wrong with liking the song I See You. It's good music, it's sung well. Last I checked music is supposed to be enjoyed so ragging on someone for what song they listen to is about as low as ragging on them for the clothes they're wearing. Matter of prefrence and it doesn't hurt anyone. I understand your position in wanting to avoid actively creating a response from your friends by listening to the song by I would challenge you to challenge them and let them knwo you don't stand for petty judgements of prefrence.

I agree, ballads are not exclusive to a certain age or gender.  Ballads are a universal style of music appealing to all ages for eons.

I secretly think those glow in the dark spot tattoos are actually pretty cool. Except, of course, that they don't actually glow in the dark, which sucks.

Zhowìntll:

I am also a 34 year old male. I have lived in Washington since I was in 3rd grade. Maybe because of my so-called condition... having ADHD or Asperger's Disorder or combination of the two, I have no relationships, I think I just might be single for the rest of my life. The reason I say that is because it seems to me that most women do smoke and/or drink, want to have kids, vote republican...

I feel I am attached to Avatar in a certain sense partly because I am a hollow spirit, consuming things and thoughts on the basis of greed/vanity/culture... some sort of hunger, I guess, for mostly material things because all immaterial things are out of reach or always has been out of reach. I mean, there is nothing that exists about community anymore besides a local church which just has polarizing values on religion. And that promise of immaterialism is promised at the church happens after the person is dead anyway.

And with ideas... they can be shared today, but forgotten tomorrow. Look at how politics has evolved in this country. This so-called capitulation, this bargaining that party leaders make only serve to taint (I think) the waters of each party's "swimming pool" in the future. For example, if a certain political party likes blue water to swim in, adding red coloring from the other pool to the blue pool makes swimming in the formerly "solid blue" pool less than pleasing to those who love the color of blue. And vice versa.

I am also a fan of Smallville because (if you can predict this) I love storytelling and mythology. The series has moved away from certain themes from time to time, like a pendulum, only to come back to it and then to move away from it again. I don't like the shifts away from the center, like the casual villain of the week and only the effects of the villain, perhaps, will move the central characters toward their "destiny."

Given all that I think about, I guess I'd be seem aloof to anybody else who wouldn't know me or how I think. But if minds can connect as they have been shown to do in the rough drafts of Avatar, then Heaven would be here, in a sense. We could possibly see the perspective of someone else, like, almost instantly. Maybe it would incur headaches or nosebleeds, especially if overdone, but at least it could facilitate peace and understanding.

I'd actually would LOVE to have some sort of connection so my view can be understood by someone and vice versa. I guess the thought of "tainted swimming pool" would come into greater consequence here by, what, especially on people who love to hide their thoughts? Would they be too afraid that someone would know they are, in fact, homosexual, for example, to participate in this?

Well, one can only hope that the future will bring great things.

Regards,
Kha'rul

Yeah, Im like that too. No one really knows anything about me. Its not big but I guess a thing I woundnt tell anyone is that I would give anything to go live on Pandora. It would just suck to die on our ruined planet.

As far as turning someone into a Na'vi, I guess massive amounts of tattoos and body modifications. You still couldnt get that tall though.

Hm, nothing really life shattering like most of the other people here, but here's my big thing.

I'm a girl in college. I love tall strong boys, I'm straight as an arrow...

...but I would be gay for Trudy in like half a second. Michelle Rodriguez in general. She's the hottest person I know.

Seriously, Trudy = <3
Avatar is a movie about a guy with blue balls running through the forest chasing tail.

There is something pleasing to be said about this, to be drooling over someone who, well, the person is dating or the person has been married to for 5 years, that would be into the same thing the guy is.

Well, at least I wouldn't be offended if she brought this up with me. I bet I'd even scope out for a Trudy-lookalike, with her permission and would try to go with her to develop a conversation with the lookalike.

Uhm, if something were to develop between them behind me, where she would rather be with the lookalike, would I be upset? Of course. Would I feel feel resentment? Initially, yes. Would I get over it? Hopefully. Nothing lasts forever. Nothing.
