Avatar is a movie about a guy with blue balls running through the forest chasing tail.

More Grace interactions with the clan?  Oh yes please  I love Grace, not only the character herself, but how Cameron treated her in the movie.  I was so happy for her when i saw that she was allowed back in :)

And sturmbeast hunt?  Drunk scenes with the Na'vi?  These things are quite relevant to my interests

The DVD will likely be pg-13 so it won't get too crazy, but still..

Why don't we just send them a link to this site? -cackle- "Hey, James Cameron! Please reward your intelligent and hungry fanbase!"

But seriously. The fanbase is getting pretty big. So who knows, by the time they start finalizing the DVD they might take it into consideration. But flooding his inbox? Probably not a great idea. Snail mail might be wiser.

will the dvd support 3d ? cos if i'll watch it on dvd i want it to be 3D supportive .
I wanted you to know

I was watching the CES today, and they have (not on the market) a blue ray player that automatically makes movies 3D without requiring the tv. So you could watch The Matrix on a normal tv in 3D (glasses I'll needed >:(). But I'd be surprised if the DVD didn't have 3D support

DVDs don't have 3D movies since they simply can't fit in them, also the coming 3D movies on blu-ray require a special tv and player. The blu-ray player that makes movies 3D is, to my understanding, just a machine that plays the same footage to both eyes, giving the illusion but not really making it 3D. It also does this in lower refresh rate, degrading the image further.

In movies there are lots of footage that end up on the cutting room floor(i think in LotR movies the extended editions had around an hour more footage than what was on the DVDs) but the limiting factor in todays CGI movies is the time when they were cut, scenes that had been finished but dropped in the final editing phase are easy to put back in. The scenes that had only small parts, or not at all, of their CGI done and were dropped on the rough cut phase are harder to add in since they need to bring back the production crew and then finish those, which is very expensive.

Still, i hope that they can put at least 2 hours of extras on the special edition, that would rock.

PS3 is almost guaranteed to have an upgrade to make it 3D capable, but the tvs are gonna cost a fortune when they come out. Wait a generation or two and they'll become cheaper as their mass production kicks off and they sort out all the bugs.

ye , but waiting until we will be able to watch it on our televisions will still take ages , I'd so love to watch it in 3d at home but there's still nothing better than a huge theatrescreen .

I'd say in maybe 3 years time we can have a decent 3D home cinema system. Still, you're right, the only place a 3D can work as is intended is in a proper movie theater.

damn that takes way too long , I just want to see it in 3d everytime , and paying quite some money everytime you want to go to the theatre wont work out forever , besides they won't play it that long .. , it's just a too good movie to not be able to watch it with it's full beauty of details .

3 years? forget that! I am buying one for christmas 2010!

I can't wait to watch 3d at home, even if AVATAR is the only movie I have to watch it!

You see, you have to help technology along if you want it to succeed. Best way to help 3D tech to grow is buy it, prove there's a market for it. Can't be lazy and wait around till everyone else does it for you  ;D

QuoteAn important chunk of those 10-plus minutes is devoted to a trial that Jake Sully (Sam Worthington), who joins the Na'vi through his mind-controlled alien avatar, must pass to truly become one of the clan. It involves a hunt for a Sturmbeest, a sort of colorful, overgrown rhino.

So I am curious about the deleted scenes, if a directors cut will actually have everything, or just as clips you can watch, I dislike the other.
