Will the Directors cut that is being released in November be on Blu-Ray only or will it be on DVD as well?
If it's on Blu-Ray only I may have to buy a Blu-Ray player in the next month.  LOL

Not sure if there will be a DVD version, but I don't see why not.

I actually bought my blu-ray player for Avatar...it was worth it. There's a big difference in quality between the standard-def DVD and the high-def BD.

If you have an HDTV, get the blu-ray player.

I THINK it will be on DVD... but if you can get bluray, go for it :)

All editions I've seen so far is 6 discs, 3 Blurays and 3 DVDs.

DVD1 will be the movie (same as Bluray 1), DVD2 and 3 will be the same as Bluray 2 ( a bluray has much more storage, especially since the extra content doesn't have as high bitrate as the movie) and Bluray 3 is Bluray exclusive content, iirc.

I'm pretty sure you can buy a 3-disc version seperately, but I'm not positive.
