Nytrixi (sorry for the spelling)
It's spelled Neytiri.

Anyway, my favorite's probably the final battle. 2nd favorite is likely his rally speech, and 3rd is Jake's first flight on his ikran after Iknimaya

My favorite still stays Jake's First Flight, the scene that had the most impact on me was the fall of Hometree and when Tsu'tey, Trudy get killed and then the slow-motion parts comes

I like the scene after the Toruk attack and before "I'm a man of my word" - it's very short, but it just really shows the grief he's going through, and how his human life has just become completely... pathetic in comparison. Admittedly his dialogue is quite cheesy - I think they could have gotten away with it without any of that at all, but it probably would have seemed a bit odd, so it's better than nothing.

Even stranger, I like to rap out this line:

Oe mllte.  I also like all the scenes/clips where tsaheylu is made.  It's a disappointment that the newer script didn't have Tsu'teyä tswin cut off by Wainfleet.  That would really be something of impact....

No, I just meant the scene where Jake is saying that everything is backwards now, and the piano piece is playing, and he is having a shave in a broken mirror, looking incredibly dejected (in fact, I'm crying just thinking about it now, possibly because I have a beautiful piano/strings rendition of "I See You" playing in my ears).

I think my favorite scene is from Jake doing video log in the shack, to "you are ready". I just love how it shows him learning to accept and understand the ways of the Na'vi. First flight is also one of my favorites.

But I agree with Txantslusam, Tsu'tey's death scene is really meaningful. I like it a lot--and I am NOT the type of person that likes watching violence. But it's played so well; the background sounds are sort of muffled, and the slow-mo makes it pretty incredible. The music that goes along with it just brings the whole thing together.

My favorite is the battle and the lead-up to the battle with "Gathering the Na'vi clans..." playing :D

I'd have to see my second favourite is when Jake enters the village and he is talking in English and the navi are just staring at him  :D

I don't know if I could narrow it down to one favorite seen but I really like when Quaritch says "Weapons free, weapons free, engage all hostiles." and the airship formations brakes off and the dragon gunship blazes to life with a barrage of machinegun fire. The music for that scene was just so well set and I get little shivers every time I watch it or listen to the soundtrack. I mean, I was always rooting for the Na'vi but I really respected Quaritch's calmness and determination.

Trudy's death was very moving, I think I cried the first time. The music for the destruction of Hometree is probably the sadest soundtrack ever recorded, I tear up every time I listen to it.

I also really loved when they are lookig at the baby aynantang, so cute!

I love emotional scenes--whether they are painful, touching, saddening....when hometree falls, James Horner captured the moment perfectly with his music. It affects me really deeply inside, and if feels good to let it do that. Ever read Stranger in a Strange Land? I really 'grok' the music.........and I let it do what it wants to my emotions.

Seykxetskxe te Vawm 'Ewan'ite (Kalin Kato)

I love all the movie and its hard picking a favorite scene, but the part when Jake returns with Toruk is very epic. It brings them hope and unity.

The fall of Kelutral was kinda hard to watch. Especially when it showed those people getting squished.

I always have to close my eyes when that happens. Fall of kelutral is more painful than the war scene to me.

I have to agree, it just leaves you wanting more...that and the scene where Neytiri is getting frustrated with Jake when she is teaching him na'vi are my favorites.

Nobody has mentioned the most emotional scene of all... Neytiri and Jake talking about which woman he will pick and then the mating afterward. I love it when Neytiri is totally caught for words when she looks into Jakes eyes afrter she says "and you may choose a woman". You could tell she really loves him.
Quote from: Ekirä on March 30, 2011, 04:45:34 PMNeytiri: Now you choose your woman. This you must feel inside. If she also chooses you, move quick like I showed.
Jake: How will I know if she chooses me?
Neytiri: She will try to kill you.
Jake: Outstanding. *takes out an ikran-catcher and walks through hometree looking for women*

I think that was the very first post.  However... not many choose that scene as a favorite...

I myself choose it as well.  Because you can tell he loves her, and she loves him.  It's something that I long for: true love.  Ah, but that is another thread... ;)

It is a scene that's played incredibly well by both actors. It's so emotional and deep, so real and yet also sort of mystical......
