Totally, I drove a half an hour up to the only 24 hour store (Meijers) anywhere near my house.

Payoang travelled about 35 miles to meet me and go to Best Buy at midnight, and I travelled 35 miles to drive him home. Watching it now.

I bought it from the shelve in the store, like 3h ago and my key got stolen (what idiot decided to print it on the outside of the box!). Cool huh... I already wrote mail to Fox to change owner to me, i included key and holografic sticker number. I am also going to send them photo of the box as soon as bateries in my camera recharges... If this wont work i guess i will simply go to store and steal someone elses key...

Bad: Half day of work left...
Worse: At least a week until I get the 3D-TV & player

I soo hoped it would arrive in time.

You know it's not in 3d right? That will be the THIRD video release. First being today's, second with special features, third in 3d.

Outside? Mine was printed on a card inserted inside the plastic case, so you have to open it to see it.

what? Than i got f*** cos i had no card inside... And it was with foliage so i guess someone took it out and refoliage it...

I thought it was that small "Buy proof "Avatar" and 5 numbers part in the corner of the box. Maybe thats because of different developer... How long was your code?

I know... but since I hate wasting money on a TV-set that's more than the small 30" now and a BluRay-player to replace the DVD-set I decided to order both 3D-capable... And now I'm here with Avatar but no BluRay-player at all $:-\$

im watching the blue ray version now it very more clean that the dvd version.
No feature including with both version.

You have to go online with the code to view it.

Whats about the code: it's just that FOX is pissing at Poland without even the courtesy of calling it rain. Poland is not included in the code program so in Polish version there is no code so we got video and video only. Thanks Fox... And I even started to like them. So i guess no Exclusives for me, unless i download it illegally, what i should do along with the next two editions FOX would like to sell to me, and it would if not that they cheated me... So i will steal from them. Simple as that (maybe not, but still i am pissed off)...

Are you sure it's something initiated by Fox? There's really no reason for them to exclude Poland unless there's some law/tax/whatever in Poland that caused a problem. There are plenty of times when I want to show my friends in Europe things on various sites but their country doesn't allow access to the material.

But material you are talking about is free but only in states. Here i payed for that and yeas i am (almost) sure it's fox, because i contacted Polish developer about the code. And it said that they had no information from FOX that there is such action, and there are some additional materials accessible for buyers. So it's either Polish developer that is lieying to me or FOX just "skipped" Poland. And we do not have too strict law so it's not because additional materials would i don't know... increase age rating or something... I payed for it... And i want to have it.

From what i've gathered from internet sources:

The code provided in the bare bones edition is to access extras found on the website. It's valid for region 1 (US/Canada). Blu-ray editions don't have a code because they already contain the extras.

From various internet sources, so some or all may or may not be entirely true. Acting as a messenger here, not a teller. So some of what i just said may or may not apply or apply to you specifically depending on what edition of Avatar you get. If you're outside region 1, then you're generally SOL, because i haven't heard of anything being offered outside Region 1 from the internet sources i went to.

Ah, well there you go, it's a region thing. People from every region get screwed on those deals all the time. Including those of us in Region 1 - it just depends on the release, I guess.
