My 7th viewing was the best, followed by the 14th and then the 2nd. Then comes the first viewing and everything else blends together. My 15th viewing completely sucked.

aww, how come, if your fourth was so great?

Major miscommunication between me and the friends I was supposed to go with. I went to one theater and they went to another. ;D

52 screenings and Pandora is still as epically awesome as it was on the 1st screening.

This afternoon's screening was fun. When they blew up hometree, someone yelled "pxasik ayskxawng!"

Was that someone you? ;)

Man .. 52. That is either insane or epic, or maybe both. ;D I've told a lot of people about you, by the way .. "yeah, there's this guy on that Na'vi forum I'm on who's seen the movie 52 times and has a tail..."

LoL!

No it wasn't me. I know better than to yell at movies because i think it's disruptive.

It's been SO hard to stop myself from yelling at the screen. I've got a really cheap local theater that hardly brings in any business at all (even for Avatar). So eventually, I'm very likely to get the theater to myself and then I will "Let my Na'vi bloom"! ;D

The first one was a total blast. I was told that the theatre didn't get the key needed for a Real3D-screening and went with "no matter, I'll come back to see in 3D".
A minute before start they got the key and handed free glasses (still got mine, well used now) and I was captured.
I'm a real tech freak and this movie... SO MUCH details and the effort they put in all the equipment, appearance, look...

Somewhere along the 4th and 5th I was a bit down and thought: well, this is it, that balloon popped.
But meanwhile, hunting details and ignoring the subtitles I enjoy every screening (number 10 is at sunday), although I will try to go for less details and more imersion into the story.
It really depends on whom you watch it with. While it is/was fun for me to watch it with family and friends the most emotional response is triggered when I'm alone (at the cinema, being totally alone in the screening is something that didn't happen so far)

And having people in theatre talking happened to me once watching Avatar. We were three at all (yesterday evening) and at the rallying speech the couple behind me started to talk along Jakes and Tsu'teys lines. Great Na'vi she was speaking, although I think it might've been a bit of a revenge for me citing the whole movie...

Just went for #7 at a [l]I[e]MAX.. awesome!!! Ok, I am slowly changing my opinion about "IMAX digital" -- it's still not a real IMAX, but it's quite a bit better than RealD.

Anyway -- took a friend who'd never seen it this time. She loved it and my brain is still stuck in Pandora right now .. dug in like a tick ;D Trying to come back to Earth reality again..

At this point I think I'm at some sort of high plateau -- the last several viewings I've just really enjoyed. It somehow never gets old and I enjoy it just as much each time. Nothing ever beats the first, but I can totally see where Technowrath comes from with his 50+ viewings. :)

First time I went was a shot in the Dark. Didn't really know what to expect, heard lots of opinions about how good it was (bad opinions weren't non-existant). So I was very "Iffy" about whether to go, when I did...

The first time was, in a way, less in depth. I was basking in the story and marvelling at the fantastic world of Pandora. (Then i walked outside, what a Disappointment  :-\).
So, the second time was definitely alot more enjoyable because I was able to pick at finer points of the story and the world, after having been introduced by it and then being able to expand upon it. I've never been so interested in a film before, and it's changed my view on alot of things as well. It's like it's not a movie, it's a hidden message.

The Motto for the Movie is "Enter the World".. They really are serious, aren't they.  :)

There's a quote from James Cameron somewhere, roughly saying:
Avatar is about seeing your world from a new angle. And if we have to go to the cinema and be shot 4.3 lightyears into space on a totally different planet then be it!

Damn. I so would have kept going if my funds hadn't run out. I'd guess that I'd be on viewing #27 taking into account my average viewings per week before I stopped.

I've seen it about 15 times. I enjoyed the first 3 times equally and then started to see it in IMAX. Now I'm planing on building myself a micro-imax setup for my computer because of that; same experience, one seat.

I still enjoy it a lot but I need to see it in IMAX to really get into it.

Unfortunately, my last few viewings have been on a steady decline having nothing to do with the movie!!

I got my last viewing in on the 3rd March and while nothing can beat the very first time you sit down and are taken to Pandora, I still loved it beyond words. I hope they really do re-release.
