Once, yesterday in study hall at school, using a teacher's copy. School had state testing for 11th graders. 9th, 10th, 12th either went to an "activity" (read: lecture), had study hall for 3 hours, or came in late. The administration let me show it in a classroom with an 80" projector screen and surround sound. Had 19 students and two teachers. Copyright law required we keep the audience small

. Many said it was their first time seeing the movie.

Worst part was having class 15 minutes after it was over...

I asked for my own copy for my birthday (May 17th) along with a blu-ray player and an ASG. I'd have them already if I had a job like someone about to turn 18 should. $:-\$

The format really doesn't matter at this point so long as you don't count theater viewings.

Still at 23 right now. After my parents call tonight to discuss move-out plans, I'm going to start and finish my final paper, and will probably reward every half-hour of work with a half-hour of Avatar. Or surfing the Avatar forums, etc.

I've got it since the day of release, but so far I had not got the chance to watch it one time entirely proper. Oh, I brought it to a friend with a 50" Full-HD LCD TV and a frickin cool sound system, and we watched it entirely. But about every 5 minutes either one of us paused it, and we analyzed the details of particular difficult to film/render scenes, as were both technology and CGI nuts. However my friend "doesn't see" if you want to call it that way. He likes Avatar for his technical achievement, but that's about it.

This thursday is a holyday, I got the house for myself, you figure the rest

I think some would see that as pitiful compared to your 150 theater viewings. I'm not one of them: you said somewhere else it's still playing in a theater in your area, so I'm not surprised if, for a while, your number of viewings on DVD do not increase.

Oh, and as of today, 30.

Yeah, 10 times is awefully small compared to 150. The mom-n-pop theater has avatar until at least july. they've been running at about 60% capacity from i've heard. they've pared down the schedule to 18 weekly screenings total, though. but 3 of their 4 weekend screenings are still selling out. Even after the DVD is out. surprising still.
