28.Dec will be my third time 3D, i also saw it 2 Times 2D.
I just cant get enough of it, every time i see something, i did not see before and yes it is indeed like comming home and since Avatar is making some real cash all over the World, we well get to more Avatar films
(I read somewhere at the internet that Avatar was planed as trilogy).

If avatar turns a profit (dunno where the box office stands right now) there will most definitely be a sequel. Two reasons:
1. In the movie and video game industry, the 2nd movie/game always has a better profit margin than the first. Not always the case with a 3rd, but definitely the 2nd.  Since movies and videogames are financed solely for profit when they have such a large budget, a better profit margin will be irresistible to invest in. They'd be fools not to.

2. a good portion of the expenses of making the first film were simply inventing the cameras, techniques, and language over several years. Since all the tech is there, making a second movie would not only be faster, but cheaper and thus the profits would be higher, thus convincing investors even more so.  What I hope, however, is that Cameron puts up the money for the 2nd one himself, allowing him more artistic freedom.

I read it cost roughly 450 million to make, market, and distribute.  So far the movie is up to $301,308,992     worldwide.  I'd say they are going to turn a good profit on this...

I've see it once so far in 3D (I'm not sure if it was an Imax theater, because it seemed to be only slightly larger than a normal screen), but I know that I'm going to see it again soon.  As others have said, I have to go  back to Pandora once more, and I'm sure that it will feel like coming home.

However, I have to make sure that I don't go to see it too much, or else I might get "burned out"(similarly to music, at least for me).  I sincerely hope that this doesn't happen, but I don't want to take that chance :'(

The cost has been cited at anywhere from 150-500 million, though I've heard roughly 300mill total, which includes advertising.

If they've broken even, thats a good sign.  Its been less than a week, and I'm not sure how long movies will be in the theater, but I'm going to guess another 150 million globally in the next couple weeks.

Since last Wednesday, when it started to play in my country, I saw it 4 times - twice in 3D and twice in normal version...I will see it again on Sunday, I convinced all my friends to see the movie, but I am taking them one by one to cinema.... ;D

And if i remember correctly the movie hasn't premiered in japan or china, which are both big markets so at the end of january it could very well pass the 500 million mark.

So far seen it only once in 3D but i just might go and see it again after christmas.
Slow is smooth, smooth is fast.

Beduino

Novelistgirl

Ok, I saw it again today. It was my third time. It's better every time.
Everyone applauded at the end. Aww... It feels good!  ;D
I was surprised to see that there was a man who was about 70-75 years old, and at the end of the movie, I heard him say "I have to say it was an amazing movie!" I didn't think a man of his age would enjoy a movie like Avatar.  :o

Night Raider

I have seen it 4 times with different people, going again on Sunday with someone else!

This movie only gets better every time I watch it!
Is this right? I just write whatever in the signature box?
