Just back from seeing it a third time and will be going again for time number four (there are still friends out there who were reluctant to see it and now want to go).  I am loving this movie and I found myself wanting to just spend time in that forest with nothing but silence.  I think this is the first time that I would love to have an Avatar game where you don't have to do anything but explore Pandora to your hearts content.  Dip your toe in the water and explore all of the plant life.  I think it would sell.

We need Bethesda to make an Avatar game, and somebody to tug their leash whenever they want to make it into a shooter :p

I doubt i'd be able to see all of the special effects that are incorporated into the 3D, but i do really enjoy the movie, and have seen it twice, but i could probably see it at least 10 times without it getting even the slightest bit boring.

And i really don't understand the difference between Imax 3D and the 2D version, anyone care to explain?

It mostly has to do with the way the film look son screen.

I have not bothered to watch it in 2d.

I've seen Avatar for 3 times, all in 3D.  :D

It's fantastic and awesome and it won't become boring.  ;D

I've seen it in 2D and the experience was fine.  To see it in 3D is to be more immersed in the movie.  It's as if you're sitting right in the middle of all of the action and observing everything.  You feel as if you can reach out and touch objects on the screen.  If you can see it in 3D at least once I would advise you to do so.  Avatar should be seen (if possible) as it was intended to be seen.

Five. Debating on a sixth time in a few hours ...  IMAX is sold out for a few days though :/

The difference in 3D? A few things are noticeably different. I.E. the display screens pop out very well, the falling ashes and the spirits of the sacred tree ( someone please give me the correct name ). These are the major things I noticed. The 3D no doubt makes it a more immersive world in general, but I've been too involved whenever watching to try to figure out what is different from 2D and 3D. Maybe the colors are a little more muted in 3D due to the lenses? ( I have not seen it in 2D)

Viewing 7 in IMAX digital 3D, AMC Mercado @ 1:25PM.

I think I will have to do that again.

So far, audience clapping has been occurring all week, each showing, last one was a bit muted though, I think there were some repeat viewers there.

i hate when the audience is dead,
a good audience brightens the movies enjoyment

My cousin is in the Producer's Guild, and they circulate pretty much every new DvD even before the movie comes out in theater. He couldn't even get a copy of Avatar though: it's so high end.

I've seen it twice, I have the soundtrack, and I'm going again when my girlfriend gets back from visiting her family.  ;D

Hiyìk Taronyu

I actually preferred the 2d, for the record. The colors are not as muted, and while the 3D was more immersive, 2d allowed me to enjoy the beauty of it all more.

Txon Tompa

i liked the 3d more mehhh

now 3d in IMAX whooooo
havent see that yet but i plan too =]
