I like watching the extras as much as the actors. (spoilers)

Having seen the movie so many times I like to watch what's going on in the background as much as I like following the story.

The extras in this movie actually do quite a bit of acting, even if they don't have any lines. Like when Grace is telling the scientists about how Jake was being chased by a Thanator. Watch the people at the table behind him. The same goes for when Grace is lecturing Selfridge for having destroyed the trees. The people at what looks like a receptionists desk aren't just standing there. They almost have personalities of their own.

The same can definitely be said for almost every scene with Na'vi in it. Not just the featured extras, but the ones a few rows back are all fun to watch. ;D

Watch the scene where Selfridge is putting in the ops room.

CUT TO:
INT. OPS CENTER - DUSK
It looks like an air-traffic control tower, with lots of
screens and bay windows showing the whole complex.
ADMINISTRATOR PARKER SELFRIDGE
  Selfridge is young, charismatic, focused.
Some would say ruthless. He assumes the stance and lines up his putt,
toward an RDA cup across the control room floor.  Putt.
Laughs.
"Did you see that?"
MAN AT A SCREEN
"Yes sir."
SELFRIDGE
"No you didn't, you were looking at the monitor."

One of them is telling lies, watch very carefully, and see which one.

I've never looked that closely. I'll have to next time around.

I think the amount of sheer "stuff" going on in the background very likely had some influence on the sheer number of characters with names (even if you only see them once or twice) in my fanfic.  It really does draw one deeper into the world when it's intimated that there are many other stories to tell whose edges just happen to intersect with the one that's being told at the moment.

Human No More

It's all very well done... It's part of the depth and realism :)

There is one Na'vi who I really like, appears in a few scenes:
