I think this is the first movie I've seen that made me go all "goose-bumpy" every 5 minutes or so. I almost teared up when they destroyed Hometree for some reason  :-\ and yeah, that "I see you" scene was extremely sweet. I had epicly cheesy goose bumps when Jake arrived at the Tree of Souls as Toruk Macto :P.

One more that when Jake reveals he knew about Skypeople plan to destroy Hometree, when Neytiri shouts "Kawkrr! Krr slayu nga Na'viyä hapxì! You will never be one of the People" - soo much emotion in there

I cry at this part no matter how many times I see it. You can really feel Neytiri's pain. :'(

I have an addiction to sigs...

Oh yes, it's really the "I trusted you" that stabs me in the heart.

"If you one of us - help us" easily beats anything else for me. Experience of that actress shows... easily trumps Zoe :)

She definately shined in that scene and her whale after the fall of Kelutrel.

I think about that scene a bit.  She changed from believing in him, to being so terribly broken about his betrayal.

Okay, I may be going way out on a limb (of Hometree) here, and this is not a complete list of all the scenes I love in the movie, but these are some of the scenes I loved that elicited the following emotions:
Laughs (lol), Tears (/cry), Goosebumps (gb), Fist Pumping in the air (actually, only in your mind so as not to disrupt your neighbor movie viewer)  (fp)

1. (lol) Na'vi arrows sticking in the tires of the mining tractor that goes by Jake as he exits the shuttle.
2. (/cry) Neytiri's unfettered cries when she finds her father dying.  I'm wondering, now that I've seen some of the Na'vi vocabulary, if I heard her correctly, but before she actually finds him, I think she's calling out, "father!?" and after she finds him, does she switch to calling him "daddy" in her sadness?  Maybe someone else can listen to that part and see what you think.
3. (gb) The second time Neytiri yells, "Eywa has heard you!!" and raises her bow in the air.
4. (gb) Netiri first shows Jake her Ikran, Sezae, and her first flight.  My fav is the little sound she makes to call Sezae to her.
5. (gb) Jake's flight scenes with Neytiri, especially the one where they plummet down the cliffside and pull out, and he does a barrel roll, yelling.
6. (fp) When Toruk destroys the Scorpions by flinging them around.  Never realized he was truly THAT big!  Or are those choppers just teeny?
7. (just plain cool) The fact that, not only did Trudy get honorary warrior face paint, but so did her chopper!!!!
8. (gb) When Neytiri first looks over at Jake in her full warpaint!  And her entire warpaint scheme itself, makes her look more like a tiger (which she can be if you piss her off!  Just ask Tsu'tey).
9. (gb) The first time we see Neytiri jump and shoot an arrow.  OMG awesome.
10. (lol) The fact that Jake just stands there and throws the pulled grenade pins at the cockpit window of the Dragon.  And the subtitle that could have gone along with the next bit of that scene, "I'm gonna rip off your missile and beatcha ta death with it!"
11. (gb) The whole bioluminecence of the forest as Jake exits the pool after retrieving his extinguished torch/spear from where Neytiri threw it.
12. (lol) Neytiri grabbing Jake's hand when he slaps the Atokirina.  (/Awww) and the shear reverence in her voice as she tells Jake what they are, "Atokirina....atokirina" the last one almost a whisper.
13. (lol) Neytiri's growl of exclamation when her mother tells her to teach Jake their ways.
14. (lol) The faces Neytiri makes as she is telling Jake the women he could have, especially the quick glance of worry she shoots him when he says, "yes, she is a good hunter."
15. (/cry)  "She already has."
16. (lol) When Jake is pulling the bow back and Neytiri is inspecting him, without knowing he is staring at her.  She backs away, her reaction....priceless.
17. (lol) The slap Neytiri gives Jake as she's giving him a language lesson and he messes up "nari" repeatedly.
18. (gb) After Jake takes off on his first flight, the scene in which Neytiri runs to Sezae, leaps on and flies in pursuit of him.  Nothing short of beautiful, fluid motion.
19. (fp) When the Hammerhead Titanothere knocks down and then stomps on the one marine in the AMP suit.  Classic.
20. (gb) When the Thanator bows down to accept Neytiri as it's rider.
21. (just cool) Neytiri's power cry every time she fires an arrow.
22. And in closing I just need to say, Neytiri has the most powerful will of anyone alive, and that Jake must be an incredibly special guy, because she loses sooooooo many things over the course of this story (Hometree, her father, her Ikran, many of her tribesmen), and in the end she has her mother, Jake and Eywa to keep her standing.  Beautiful and amazingly strong.
I do soooooooo love this movie!!
Oh, and huge kudos to the person creating and updating the pocket guide.  Wow, is that a lot of help for us newlings to Na'vi.

Ok I just rewatched that part, and she never called Eykutan "Daddy..." It's all "Masepu" (Na'vi sp), and she only switches to English when Jake arrives, which she then told him to "Go away...[shouts in fury] GET AWAY. Get away from here...Never come back..."  :-[

I get goosebumps all the time lol. This has to be the most goose-bumpy movie I have ever seen...although it can get cheesy at some parts like the arrival of Toruk Macto :-X

I think all these scenes are perfectly to be touching and are very epic.

But still the thing i find most touching about the movie is Neytiri`s face when crying...
Personally i don`t take the Na`vi as alien because i think i understand them.

When I look on the news and see what horrible things are happening around the world I can`t help but wonder what is the source of them and therefore my own race is becoming more and more alien to me as time passes by.

Does that make any sense?

the best part is jake telling that the humans are coming in a huge group(before they destroy the hometree) and neytiri says:
you knew this would happen??,i..i....i trusted you!!!!...YOU WILL NEVER BE ONE OF US
its acted so good by zoe,it even makes me feel backstabbed by jake not telling before..
ohh man the destruction oh hometree is soo sad,i cry every time i see it...
the movie is seriously the best ever,it almost made me deppresive XD(because of pandora seeming so nice and beautiful, also spiritually connected, completely different than this economically screwed up world...)
the story is made so nice, thanks too james cameron.
it easily beats the matrix, lord of the rings, harry potter etc
pandora is the most beautiful place ever...

*sigh* and that's why you don't send a paraplegic that probably has gotten any in a while into a forest with hot blue princess.

It makes me wonder if Mo'at knew something might happen. She was the one that kept Jake from being killed, and she was the one that assigned Neytiri to work with Jake.

Perhaps Mo'at didn't approve of Tsu'tey for some reason, and wanted to complicate things between them?

Mo'at is the tsahìk, spiritual leader. So she would probably have some idea of what would become of him.

I'm just wondering how Tsu'tey kind of instinctively knew to ask the question, "Did you mate with this woman?"  Was there a little scene left out where he might have seen them enter the area alone, or even caught them mating, or is there a difference in Na'vi bioluminescence before and after mating?  How did he know to ask that question right then?  What made him suspect?  The fact that they were holding hands?  It just seems like there's a little piece missing in there somewhere.   ???

Well considering that he was right there when the Trees of Voices were destroyed I assume he was going to pray or something and stumbled across them, but the bulldozers came before he got a chance to attack.

I think somewhere in this forum is mentioned that all Na'vi join to sleep together. If anybody is missing it's assumed that he/she is in danger.

Now there is also one exception -  couples are allowed to stay away for a night. And as far as I remember Jake an Netytiri where missing that night :)

Toruk Makto

My favorites are: Under the Tree of Souls when Jake arrives as Toruk Makto and Neytiri says "I was so scared, Jake... for my people. I'm not now" (or something to that effect). And then later, the whole scene as Jake is in tsaheylu with Ewya at the Tree of Souls, asking for help. Brilliant acting. Just brilliant.
