MTV Awards: June 6th

I find this matters more than Oscars or Globes because they actually take into mind what people actually found to be good movies.  Avatar's got quite a few nominations:

Best Female Performance (Zoe Saldana)
Best Movie
Best Kiss (Yes, there is a category for it, and you know what scene as well)
Best Fight (Worthington v. Lang/Sully v. Quaritch)
Best Villain (Stephen Lang/Quaritch)

Indirectly Connected:
Biggest Bad*** Star (Worthington)

Best part of it all: WE get to vote, not some stupid Academy!  Go vote (Avatar ATFW!), and discuss.

Exactly.  And like I said, we get to vote on it!  So pardon my seemingly political campaigning, but go vote for Avatar!  Would love to see all 6 MTV awards Avatar (or anything/one connected) displayed on the spot where the three Oscars were.

That was stubborn for me as well.

It needs to be unique from every other person who's ever registered there, and it can not have spaces in it. Try using the first part of your email address (before the @ sign).

I can already see Avatar not winning anything:

Best Kiss goes to, once again, Twilight.  People just don't know good movies.

Best Villain goes to "Draco Malfoy" from Harry Potter.  Malfoy's about to get an big can of whoop-*** from a very disgruntled and, yes, bad*** colonel from Pandora.

Biggest BA Star goes to Rain, not Sam Worthington.  Ninja Assassin was a good movie though...

I think we can take something away from all this: 80+ percent of people who watch MTV are Twilight fans.

Ya I'd say so, honestly I didn't even know about award shows other than the oscars and golden globes before avatar came out.

Avatar definitely should have had best kiss and best movie, draco was a pretty good pick for villain though.

As for BFP, that was more bs than when avatar didn't get best movie at the oscars, seriously kristen really isn't that great, most people could pull off what she did (which isn't saying much) but how many could pull off acting like an alien while wearing a weird suit with a cam right in front of your face completely surrounded by only green screen...

If you don't believe me try and catch a mid-late season episode of American Idol and see what sort of singers are left.

Seconded. Walked into school today...first thing I heard while I was at my locker was 2 girls walking by blabbing about how Twilight did so well last night.

I walked into 1st period science, and everyone was just as disappointed as me about Avatar going 0/6. Thankfully, everyone in my class shares our point of view - Twilight is SO overrated.

Like thos who watch today's MTV.  It's not even what MTV was based on anymore: Music Television.  No more music videos.  It sucks.
