Maybe Eywa meant for the thanator to separate him from Grace and Norm, so that the river would then carry him closer to Neytiri...

So it was a thanator of romance...  :-*

I was thinking more like a thanator of fate, setting things up for the atokirina scene, but romance works too.  Eywa is a matchmaker? :-*

I, too, the more I seen, the more I like him.

In my opinion him was promised Peyral, but after her death, Neytiri went to "inherited".

Of course.

Perhaps there were shape shifting aliens pulling the strings behind the scenes. ;)

Just sayin'...   ;)

I wrote that a week after the film came out. I still find that to be my favorite scene since it pretty much sums up the major premise of the film in one line of dialogue.

I don't know if i could choose a favourite scene, I like all of them... except for any scene with Quaritch in it. hmm..

my favourite scenes would be when neytiri is correcting jakes pose with the tsko, and she touches him and they look at each other, the love scene, neytiri defending jakes body form Tsu'tey, jake and neytiri see each other again at the tree of souls, and when neytiri saves jake from suffocating and they sya I see you. that scene is so loving and makes me emotional. Tsu'tey's death scene was so sad, but you really see the honourable part of him in this scene, they should have left that in the original movie. I aso cried all three times in the cinema when Hometree was destroyed, sometimes I still do. it kind of feels like people i know are dying. that might seem strange.

anyway, those are my favourite scenes, but i love the whole movie  ;D

You know, I'm at the point where I take the Na'vi's "connectedness" for granted now. That really is an amazing piece of writing and the entire thing fails without it.

Well... I know the last post here is a long time ago...
But most of my time I´m in the german part of the forum.

So let me tell about my favorite scene. I can reduce this scene to two or three single pictures.

Neytiri shows Jake how to use the tree of voices.
Jake puts his tswin to the tentacles of the tree and says after a short time: "Yes, I can hear them..."
Neytiri puts her tswìn to the same tentacle and sais: "They live Jake... Within Eywa."

Look at her, exactlly when she sais: "Eywa.". There are just two or three (maybe four...)
single pictures, where you can see her very very cute tusks (the long teeth from the upper jaw).
These pictures are my most favorites. This is why I felt in love with her...

And I like the gesture at the beginning, when she sais: "You SHOULD not ne here!".

From the unused scenes there are two I´m very loving:
1) When Grace meets the cilds and she counts together wit them (On... two... three... - four...)
2) The scene called "A new beginning" where you can see some pregnants and where Jake fondles Neytiris stomach.

Tsakrrvay,

My favourite scene in Avatar starts when Jake Sully and Tsu'tey starts the speech at the Tree Of Souls, and to the end when they are gathering
the other Na'vi clans, the Ikran people on the Eastern Sea and the Horse clans at the plains

You see it in my signature

Oh yes, I love this szene (see my signature).

I love too if Jake say "I have already chosen" and the answer from Netiry "which she has long"

From the unused scenes there are five long parts I´m very loving and I mean they are very important for the story:

  • Scene 122-123 "Hunt Festival"
  • Scene 131A-148 "The Dreamhunt"
  • Scene 164-172 "The Challenge"
  • Scene 288-327 "The Avatars Attack"
  • Scene 350-351 "New live"
For last five what I wrote and more is my dream

I like them too, so I wish they where in the extra-super extended collectors cut. :)
----------------
I like the scene
- where jake fly with Neytiri on the Toruk
- where Neytiri tell Jake the mythology about Toruk Makto
- a lots of another scenes...

Atokirina Sweriye

I have three I can't choose from:

When Jake says "I'm probably just talking to a tree now ..."
When Jake and Neytiri flies the ikrans, after getting chased by Toruk they sit on that steep rock and starts to laugh
When they try to save Grace and all of the tribe links up so that the ground itself lits up (and then it's so obvious and sad when that light dies down and she dies).
