hi...new here  :) just bumping an old thread to talk about my still favorite film of all time, Avatar. however, i am quite the fan more of the Avatar CE and it's deleted scenes as well.

favorite scene of the canon-recognized CE, would be The Hunt, where Neytiri breathtakingly yells 'hell yeahhh!' as her star-student and hunter apprentice, Jake, successfully brings down his quarry in the clan's hunt. the whole scene is just so awesome and gives me goosebumps still.

favorite scene of the sady deleted/unfinished/unrendered scenes, would be the whole Dream Hunt sequence, the Spirit Animal rite, and Jake explaining to Grace and Norm, why he was with the Omaticaya Clan. it is heartbreaking, and so well acted by Sigourney and Sam. it's a crime all these scenes aren't finished and in the film, as canon. the Hunt Festival really is such an awesome scene of Na'vi customs and tradition.

Lightstorm/Weta, can you awesome People please render and finish these scenes someday...? please.

I completely agree. All these deleted/unfinished/unrendered scenes are my favourite too :) I would like see these scenes as regular (or completed) scenes in movie.

Hardware has come on a long way since Avatar was rendered, in the future it would certainly be not only possible, but may actually a viable proposition.
Weather the desire to do it is there from light storm, that's another question all together. Personally I'd love to see them completed, and I know it's not just two of us who would!
Pasha, an Avatar story, my most recent fanfic, Avatar related, now complete.

The Dragon Affair my last fanfic, non Avatar related.

Personally I love that scece with Jake's first flight on Ikran. But hard to select just one scene, whole movie is amazing!

I might just be necroing here, but my favorite scene, above all others, was the moment the Thanator bowed to Neytiri. It displayed a million words in one moment, the most prominent of which I can recall were "I'm in pain, too. I need you. We all need each other." I think the reason the scene stuck with me is that lack of unity in the modern world today, where friend and foe no longer consider unity in the end as an option.

I was curious what everyone's favorite scenes were. The two that stand out for me are when Neytiri and Jake were lying together under the Trees of Voices, just before she wakes up to hearing RDA bulldozers at work, and Neytiri holding Human Jake in her arms after her putting the Exopack mask on him. Both are so powerful to me, especially Neytiri holding Jake. I love these two stills.

Yes, I agree that was a great scene! It was funny Neytiri and Jake were messing around, and Tsu'tey got a little mad, LOL!

Little revival ;D

I rewatched Avatar today and I enjoy few scenes (Jake's first time on Pandora and Jake's first avatar run) more than recently. No that I would didn't like them earlier but now I liked it far more.
