I'm going to see Avatar again tonight and then on Saturday, so I'm trying to come up with a list of little things I'm trying to spot/confirm - please reply here and I'll add them to the list. Some are sourced from this forum, others I just spotted myself and others sourced from other fora.

- Pictures of Neytiri's sister on the fridge in the Shack
- Avatars have five fingers and toes, Na'vi only have four
- When Quaritch finds the Module near the end of the film, look for it appearing on his radar display
- Ikran and Na'vi have four limbs but all other creatures you see in the film have six (including Toruk).
- When the armada takes off from Hells Gate to destroy the Tree of Souls, watch for the guard outside getting his cap blown off
- A Na'vi bow and other Na'vi items in Selfridges office on the wall
- While all creatures on Pandora have neural whips, only the Na'vi have no muscular control of them, all others can manipulate them to some degree.  Na'vi are also the only creature with just one neural whip.
- Jake's tail, when he is first practicing his bow, goes straight to counterbalance himself.  I'm going to try and look for other tail movements.
- Do Na'vi always Tsaheylu with the left neutral whip?
- Jake's locker on the ISV says 'Sully T' but his AVTR backpack on Pandora says 'Sully J'.  His recruitment on Earth must have been really last minute :)

NEW ones
- Neytiri has a five fingered white handprint on her chest in the final battle, implying Jake probably 'helped her' with her preparations
- You can see the balls of one of the Hammerhead Titanotheres as it runs past Neytiri near the end (don't ask).

More to come as I think of them...

every time you see a tail twitch you drink a shot? **would be drunk especially at the Hometree destruction scenes. Lots of twitching tails there.**

Hrm... I thought for sure that the ikran has six like Toruk: two sets of wings, plus the legs, but can't find a clear image online... Hrm.

One other thing that might make your looking a bit easier:

Quote- ... Na'vi are also the only creature with just one neural whip.
- Do Na'vi always Tsaheylu with the left neutral whip?
Kind of a contradiction, no? :p From what I remember, I thought that the Na'vi only had one down the middle (the longest bit of braid) and the other braids/etc. are just hair and not neural whips.  (Which, btw, makes me think of Neural Whipp!, which sounds totally gross).

I think he means the left neural whip of the creature that they bond with.

Okay, so, I went and found this video (site is Chinese, vid is in English) about the design of the ikran:

《阿凡达》设计制作花絮2 Avatar-Banshee Design - 视频 - 优酷视频 - 在线观看 - avatar 化身 阿凡达 神之化身 天神降临 JAMES Cameron Sam Worthington 西格妮·韦弗

So, it does kind of look like only 4, but I think the smaller, back wings have partially fused with the legs, unlike in the toruk.  Since the toruk and ikran are obviously so closely related, I have trouble believing we'd have completely lost a whole set of limbs!  Where's they go!?

Toruk and Ikrans do have six limbs: 2 sets of arms for the wings, and a set of "feet" at the base of the rear wings. Toruk actually has real legs and feet though. He still sports the 2 sets of wings, thus he has "four arms."

The "neural whip" in a na'vi is called the Queue. That long braid that everyone sees connecting to an ikran or pa'li. On the animals, it's actually called the same thing. The Activist Guide has an entry for "Banshee Queue Restraint" a na'vi made device that keeps the banshee (ikran) queue out of the way for flight. As for always choosing the left queue, notice that in almost all cases, the na'vi board their ikran or pa'li from the left? So it would be natural to grab the first queue that's available: the left queue.

Er. Oh. Okay.  I might not be remembering correctly, but I think the first time Jake jumps on a pa'li, he uses the right one.  Or maybe just uses his right hand to grab the left one.  Can't quite recall...

I think he still used the left Queue. But you may be right: grabbing the left queue with his right hand to tsayhalu for the first time. Sadly, i don't pay exact attention to that, even after 17 romps on Pandora. If you watch the other Na'vi, you'll also see that they, too, use the left Queue of the Pa'li and ikran.

Yeah, my second thought was along the lines of yours--nearly all the scenes I can think of have riders getting on/off on the animals left.  Let us know what yo find out when you see the movie, Will!

I don't remember which hand he uses for what, but Neytiri grabs the animal's neural whip for him before he touches it.  And yes it is the left one.

Also queue would probably not be the correct term for the animals.  Queue = style of long braided hair.

its because all humans get on horses from the left and almost all people get on airliners and planes from the left so that has be transfired over to the na'vi.

What do airplanes have to do with anything?

I think "planes" are supposed to be ikrans.

According to the Activist Guide, the animals have "queues" or else the entry for "Banshee Queue Restraint" wouldn't exist. For both the Na'vi and the animals, they call it a queue. I'm only stating what i read from the ASG. You can call them whatever you want really.  :)

When you get a chance, definitely give that section a read. in fact, the whole book is wealth of information. It's helping me with my fan fic that i'm writing in the Fan fic section of the forum.
