Question, I wanted to know what parker mumbled when he was escorting Grace to his office to lecture her about unobtainium and to deal with what she has and get him some results.

He starts and stops a sentence a couple times.  One of them is "I can't..." or "I just can't..." or maybe both, I think.

hmmm, what I heard was "I can't like you".

Txonyä'ite

Thats what I heard as well. "I just can't like you"

Zefanaya

that dons't really make that much sense though, I mean I know he don't like her but to say it aloud doesn't seem like parker but then again we did not see all that much of him I think both are good answers.

Ok, you don;t have to go see it it really isn't even important just one of those things people are always interested in the small things I have seen it 8 times and I keep trying to pick more and more out of the movie.

What can I say, I will take any excuse to go see it again. What I heard was "I can't like you" definetely no much. :p

Zefanaya

Nice, I just go see it last 2 times I took a notebook and sat in the back people looked at me strange, after the movie they came up to me and were like what are you doing, I told them I write on a forum and then said good bye to them in very formal Na'vi (with accent) and they were just like what.

I translated the non-subtitled Na'vi parts for my friend I was watching it with last time.
He looked at me a little strange and after my "Oe plltxe leNa'vi" we started a short discussion about the time used to learn Na'Vi.
Not that much on my side, but it always appeared to me that I was kinda quick learner when something is interesting to me...

I just use the old fashioned repetition method and it takes a while but I am getting it down I just realized how I have been replacing words with na'vi word in my mind when some one talks to me my friend was talking to me  and was talking about how his eyes hurt real bad and instead of hearing "eye's" I heard Nari, So i guess my mind has finally accepted Na'vi as an alternate language this is going to suck learning Na'vi and Spanish, Spanish or an alternate language is mandatory PHS (my high school) oh well.

But this was massively off topic so to get us back on topic I am going to ask this

I have been wondering how RDA got involved with Pandora did they discover it or did a group like N.A.S.A find it, and do they have US or any military connection (other than their para military security force)? I also still wonder if they will face criminal charges when they return to earth?

So there are some topics to chew on, Irayo for reading.

It's not totally clear who first discovered Pandora.
It's clearly stated that a large radio telescope was utilized to examine the Alpha Centauri-system and with it they discovered Polyphemus (the gas giant) and the fact that it got several moons. With the next, larger telescope they were able to get first images and better readings of the moons and found the jackpot.
At least two of the moons showed signs for a sufficient oxygen level and one of them had some really strange magnetic quirks in it's magnetic field. So they sent a probe and found that Pandora was not only gifted with enough oxygen to allow life but that it did also have lots of life on it, they saw a green world. And the Unobtanium below the soil...
The thing that's making it a bit difficult here to say who "discovered" Pandora is that it's not clear if the RDA was already the organization with the sole right to do anything above orbit or if they got that right somewhere later and were just the fastest to get their foot in orbit the door.

Other military connections can be taken as a given. The RDA is just not allowed to build military forces in space, so their "ground troops" can be much better armed and many more than at Pandora. Or they outsourced that and set up mercenary contractors which are working for them only but if anything goes seriously wrong the RDA can't be blamed.

I bet there won't be criminal charges against the RDA (or the division of RDA that actually is building and maintaining off-Earth-colonies) since for a criminal charge you still need someone in the first place to blame you. And a)the Na'vi aren't able to go Earth to strain some judges valuable time and b)the RDA is a megacorp. They have more and better (paid) lawyers than anyone who could take the Na'vi banner...

Nice, I was thinking that they would out source to private contractors, and with them being a mega corp they would just make any one that got in their way or tried to give out classified information "disappear", knowing the earth governments way of doing things they will probably just cover this up and the public wont get any word of it for like 20 years, and even though the off world colony of Pandora fell through with RDA being so big they probably don't care they will just go look for the next best thing. Unless the second ship that is on it's way to Pandora (speculation) has more weapons and troops on it (which is reasonable because the Venture Star brought supplies and scientists so the next one would bring supplies and military), they may just decide to take what they want and continue with the whole war campaign, but that is noting but speculation.

(Back on topic)

Just got back from seeing Avatar. Note to self: I really need to start seeing it a few times a week before it leaves theaters. All kinds of new details to report back. Looks like I was (previously) right about a lot of things. I was paying especially close attention to details this time around, and noticed in Parker's office he had the necklace everyone is familiar with, and a small case, but in the main opps room (does anyone have a better name for that room?) there was a HUGE display case with dozens of artifacts--almost certainly from Pandora--that I would love to have gotten a better look at. They were a bit out of focus, but I think the scene was the original briefing Jake was giving about "the support columns."

This made me think of a friend's mom who worked in shipping forever. Huge industrial ships. Captains would smuggle "questionable"(?) items (so I believe) in from all parts of the world, and she had a display case of all kinds of eggs--really big ones, really old ones. I am almost certain they were NOT supposed to be there--but she had a huge display case. She was a super-right-wing Republican, so her attitude was that the government had no right to tell her what she could and couldn't "have." This seems like what Selfridge would have in that case. After all, Earth is a long way away (for people without SLT transmission authorization), so they could cherry-pick ancient artifacts and fossils for their private display. The ASG states that high-level RDA execs do this all the time anyway.

Okay, back to O.T. Does anyone remember the suits that were recruiting Jake when he was viewing his brother's body? They seemed like VERY high-up RDA execs. Well "Selfridge high-up," not "board member" high up. It is hard to guess the number of layers go into a conglomerate like the RDA.

EDIT: P.S. That first scene with Palulukan still scares the poo out of me! Jake ('s avatar) should have been hamburger.
2022 update: Working on the new astrology book. "How to read tarot" books are on Amazon, if you are into that sort of thing.
Okay, so the old podcast is here: https://www.podomatic.com/podcasts/radioavatar It was goofy fun that ended too soon, but we had creative people. I hope we can get a new gang together (interested? PM me, let's make some magic!)
(Very old, outdated) Na'vi FUN activity book is here: But what are you doing? Let me know! :)

Zefanaya

very hard to guess in deed, and now I am going to have to go see Avatar again just so i can get a glimpse of that case (the theater people already look at me strange I am there so much, I kinda wish I had like a card or something that showed I write on forum sort of like a press pass but I dont work for the forum so that would be pointless) I can't wait for bonus content in the special edition DVD but that was off topic I plan on posting a some new questions when I go see avatar again but it is kinda late so i will get on that later.
