Eywal ngaru teing oeti

She did really good in the movie. When I first saw the movie, I didn't know she was going to be in the movie, and then there she is. I was like 'dang, I didn't know she was in the movie'. To bad she died in the movie. She might come back in the 2nd movie maybe, but I'm sure how that will happen.

I thought Sigourney did an excellent performance.

OT: When you really think about Scientology (with how crazy many think it is) though, it's probably far more likely to happen than an all knowing omnipresent god creating the universe and only creating us as the only intelligent life out of the whole thing.

As much as I like Sigourney acting -you can really buy the character she's playing when she's playing it and don't need loads of background info to understand/feel the part- I hope that Grace doesn't come back in a "real" body.
Grace being Jakes guideline to Eywa might work for me, but that's the utmost of feelings.

Interestingly enough: when I watched Avatar the first time I and saw Neytiri I thought: Man, you know that face, who the hell's that?
In the end when it showed Zoe Saldana I went: Ah! Pirates of the Carribean! Slapping Jack Sparrow!
Shame on me, I didn't think of Star Trek although as you mention it here it's really been entertaining to watch a new face for Uhura. And my, what a great one! But different topic...

What are your opinions on her performance in Avatar and her other movies. I was just watching Aliens Resurrection on AMC.

Oh god, I hated Alien 3 & 4. They were terrible!  :-X

She was good is most of her other movies, though.

I reckon sigourney in Alien 4 was some dam good acting as she had a completely different role to alien 1, 2 and 3

she wasn't the "prey" as such anymore

I hope she is featured in Avatar 2, in flash backs and off the sort etc.

maybe in video logs as well, Grace could be the key to some big mystery? (Like the tree of souls and its GIANT biological network)

I really like her! Did you see her recent SNL episode? =) I always love an actor who's not afraid to make fun of herself =D

I didn't realize that "YOUU BIIITTTCHH" was such a famous line of hers. Sigh @ james cameron.

The first time Grace's Avatar popped on screen, it was really recognizable as her, somehow! They captured the thing she does at the corners of her mouth when she smiles really perfectly.

I thought she was really good in Alien and Aliens, Alien 3 was okay i suppose, but it did get a little silly after James Cameron had his turn. Alien: Resurrection was bad.

I thought she was awesome in Avatar though, I really want to learn more about her Characters and how she went about righting 'The Guide to Na'vi' which appears in the film, and she is the first human being that the audience know of that have grown to respect the Na'vi for what they are... awesome character played by an awesome actress.

Quoteow she went about righting 'The Guide to Na'vi' which appears in the film,

She didn't write the book, that is shown in the film. If you look at the titel of this book, the author's name isn't Grace Augustine. I forgot the name, but it was a male author.
She wrote the book about the plants on Pandora, but this is not shown in the movie.
